No because he said something about Obama that wasn't bad so he's the enemy of all true conservatives. HE MUST BE DESTROYED! MAN I WISH LIBERALS WERE AS FREE THINKING AS US CONSERVATIVES!

Sounds like a wonderful idea to me.

Further, people convicted of lesser crimes, the ones who are going to be released sooner or later, need to be sentenced not to a certain period of time, but to a set amount of hard labor. You have so may yards of gravel and rocks to move to rebuild this levy. Now, here's your wheelbarrow, and your shovel. When you're finished, your sentence is done. Meanwhile, you stay in a tent surrounded by machine gun nests.

    Sounds right to me.

Yes, I too think people's rights should be stripped sometimes.

Reading is fundamental, guy. I supported O'Reilly in my post. Read it again. I think we are supposed to be on the same side here. LOL.

Well lets be honest reading is hard. I watched his talking points tonight and he sorta laughed at the fact that Rush was like "OMG I AM BILL O'REILLY AND I SUPPORT COMMUNISM", when he wasn't saying that at all. I had a lot of respect for O'Reilly, but I honestly have more for him now saying this on a station where his opinion is probably not that well supported. If only he wasn't such a rude interviewer to certain people I would probably watch him more often.

There is no doubt he is a huge bully and insanely arrogant; Bill, that is. Rush is just huge and insane.

Rush vs. Bill? Rush has gone off the deep end. They are turning on their own now. Crazy. He needs to get fat again and get back on drugs.

Well, you were the one who argued prior year taxes unrelated to any future event were current revenue.

You were the one who argued that any state that has a rainy day fund has has a surplus independent of the amounts within the rainy day fund. Therefore, if a state had a deficit of $10 billion as your state is projected to have, you argued that the $8.2 billion rainy day fund meant the state had a net surplus.

And you confused a projected $10 billion deficit as stated by your own comptroller as a surplus.

So, am I really wrong here?

It does seem you have a distorted view as to the role of Govt. Obviously you prefer to re-write history instead of actually reading and understanding history.
Come again? You mean like how I pointed out Texas has been running deficits without its rainy day fund for years?

Your distortion of the Reagan years is a perfect example but there is an entire tread devoted to refuting your anti Reagan claims and there are non partisan sites such as BEA.gov, BLS.gov, U.S. Treasury which refute your statements.
Care to actually back that statement up?

Apparently you don't find it hypocritical to point out your problems with Reagan and Bush but ignore when Obama implements Reagan and Bush policies.
Care to back that statement up? Or have you ignored my many posts where I criticized Obama for being a Bush clone. See Dav about this. He has taken offense to my many arguments calling Obama a Bush clone.

You know, making stuff up because you're too lazy to get the facts isn't helpful.

Both understood you empower people not the govt. to create jobs.
But Reagan and Bush pushed huge amounts of spending which did cause government contracts to expand private payroll. We have a thriving security industry that lives largely off of government contracts right now. Boeing got to where it is because of government contracts. Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and others are in the same position. Republican presidents aside from Bush Sr. have created huge amounts of private sector jobs through public funding. Obama's doing the virtual same thing. .

Both understand the obligations owed to our military thus the VA funding.
    Okay..it's still socialism.

Both understand personal responsibility thus provided tax cuts to allow people to need less govt.
Huh. You mean like tax cuts under Obama too?

Stimulus tax savings analyzed by household - Feb. 21, 2009

LOL. I guess when a Republican pushes a tax cut, it's good, but when a Democrat does it, no credit at all.

I know know a few others who are part of the 6% that believe the stimulus plan actually created jobs.
The work crew down town in my financial district seems to suggest that it did. Did it create many? Probably not. But the notion it created none is highly unrealistic.

I'm more, or less in agreement with that, but your Librul buddies would have a cow and call it slavery if we made the worthless reprobates work too hard.

danarhea, I wasn't responding to anyone in particular. I summarized the message that O'Reilly gave and then asked what was wrong with the message.

Thus far, people have been using ad hominem in an attempt to discredit O'Reilly, but I have yet to read a good reason to disagree with O'Reilly's basic message. It is the message, not the person, that is the subject of debate.

    That reminds me . . .

If you dislike O'Reilly, but if what he said is true, then are you willing to admit that what he said is true?

I'm liberal and have been advocating exactly such a scenario for decades. I strongly support the death penalty, but short of that, I support hard physical labor for violent/repeat criminals. Cool Hand Luke stuff. Put them on a chain gang and make them earn their keep, or go without.

Joe Arpaio understands. Our message to violent/repeat criminals should be "Root, hog, or die."
