Time for Obama to go 'gangsta' on GOP - CNN.com

Quote from article(This president got rolled by the Senate over health care. His team made some boneheaded mistakes, and now they are paying for them)

Indeed he and his team did make mistakes, mistakes that seasoned Politicians should not have made, mistakes that were and are the direct opposite of his campaign promises.
And quite rightfully he and his ilk are now paying for those 'mistakes' and may well pay even more heavily for those mistakes that are opposite of his campaign promises come next November.

Obama has made dangerous plans and pushed an agenda that is clearly at odds with the needs and wishes is the people.

He has failed to wreck the economy as he planned not because of Republican opposition but because his own party feels the pressure form the people and have refused to burn their own bridges politically to appease the great appeaser.

If Obama continues on the path he has started down he will be in the end worse than Carter and hold the title as the not onlt the worst ever but first Anti-American person in history.

In a way I hope it happens because it will help expose the Liberals as the political idiots they surely are, but if he continues we have to pay the price for generations to come digging out of the hole Obama and his minions in creating.

The author of the article states:

"He has watched Republicans block many of his appointments, and now he says he made it clear to them that he will "consider" making some when the U.S. Senate goes into recess."

Can someone explain how the Democrats with a filibuster prove majority, were "blocked" by the Republicans from passing the Messiah's appointees?

Isn't the Messiah's problem his inability to appoint candidates who don't make his own party puke?

That article was so hilariously ridiculous, I rolled on the floor crying of laughter. I have always believed that Roland Martin is a know-nothing hack, but this article absolutely proves it. There are tons of deserving black liberals who are knowledgeable about politics that CNN could front, why choose this pathetic affirmative action ignoramus?

If CNN had even a scintilla of credibility, Martin would be fired for writing this politically illiterate sentence:

He has watched Republicans block many of his appointments, and now he says he made it clear to them that he will "consider" making some when the U.S. Senate goes into recess.

Do you really believe Obama "planned to wreck the economy"? I mean just think about that for a minute. What would he do? Sit down, draw up some flow charts, make a few phone calls.... "Hey guys who's got some good ideas for wrecking the economy?! Let's get a phone tree going!"

Quite laughable the suggestion that Obama would deliberately wreck the US economy.
First off, the Democrat controlled House of reps during 2006 - 2008 have gone quite a way to achieving that.
Second Obama is a talker, not a thinker, I doubt he has the intelligence to actually wreck the economy.

His ideas are wrecking the economy. Either he's too stupid to realize what he's doing, or he's doing it intentionally.

Becasue the Democrats unlike the Republicans have a habit of going their own way. IOW having a (D) in front of your name is not an indication of which way you vote on any specific issue.

What's the deal with the headline? Because he's black he's going gangsta? What?

What's the deal with the headline? Because he's black he's going gangsta? What?

Talk to the black author of the piece about that one. That simple fact will suddenly make it non-issue, I'm sure.

His ideas are wrecking the economy. Either he's too stupid to realize what he's doing, or he's doing it intentionally.

That's not what you said. You said Obama "PLANNED to wreck the economy".

I'm just pointing out hyperbole.

In 2008, he planned on wrecking the economy, moreso than what the congressional Democrats had already done. It was the only way he could get elected. Now he is wrecking the economy and it's either intentional, or because he's too weak and stupid to know better.

How else do you explain his suggestion that businesses borrow money to make payroll?

Businesses borrow money to make payroll all of the time. The problem occurs when businesses can't borrow money.

For example: I'm self employed and I also work for a local consulting company.

When I work for the consulting company I bill the client an hourly rate. The client doesn't pay my consulting company for my services for several months. But I get paid every 2 weeks. And there are hundreds of consultants working at our firm doing many types of jobs.

On many occasions our consulting company borrows a ****oad of money to make payroll. Especially on brand new jobs. They know that eventually they're going to get their money back from the client, but in the interim they still have to pay their employees.

Happens all of the time.

So you don't actually disagree with it, you're just pointing it out.

That's funny, most economic experts agree that the stimulus prevented the recession from becoming a depression and has kickstarted the reversal trend.

I guess you know better, though.

What's the deal with the headline? Because he's black he's going gangsta? What?

Cowboy politics have been replaced with gangsta politics. :2razz:

So you don't actually disagree with it, you're just pointing it out.

Yes. That's why I put the grinning face thingy after my statement.

It's one thing to say Obama's economic policies are bad. It's a completely different claim to say Obama is intentionally trying to wreck the economy.

it's never time to go gangsta

but i'll tell you one thing

one of obama's greatest big-picture mistakes, macropolitical, in my opinion, has been his failure to ADDRESS our young african american male neighbors and friends who suffer so much pain and hurt in their lives

never have we had a president so uniquely positioned to take on this ultra touchy and painfully real issue, all the lives it touches, entire communities, indeed, a nation

obama has paid lip service, and quite scant, at that

he has NEVER prioritized it

just another throw away line, like ending don't ask don't tell

and tho he brings the deadly debate up for a few minutes every fathers day or so, he undermines his more positive messages and examples with his more regular resort to obligations society owes, wrongs in the past, reasons things are as bad as they are...

his address to school kids which caused so much controversy, vividly painting up how extremely controversial our president is, was 2/3 about duties owed by schools and parents to the kids, emphasized above what our students can and must do to help themselves

obama never really got real with perhaps the most unhappy members of our community, an historic opportunity tragically squandered

bringing hope, healing and optimism into our inner cities woulda gone far towards making obama one heck of a great president

instead, just like everything else, he does jack and squat

His ideas are wrecking the economy. Either he's too stupid to realize what he's doing, or he's doing it intentionally.

And the economy was doing how well before he took over?

One of obama's greatest big-picture mistakes, macropolitical, in my opinion, has been his failure to ADDRESS our young African American male neighbors and friends who suffer so much pain and hurt in their lives. Never have we had a president so uniquely positioned to take on this ultra touchy and painfully real issue, all the lives it touches, entire communities, indeed, a nation, obama has paid lip service, and quite scant, at that. He has NEVER prioritized it.

He does have a few other things on his plate for the time being, such as the wars in both Iraq and Afghanistan to attend to, as well as a recession/depression depending on where you are in the line of the unemployed.

Just another throwaway line, like ending don't ask don't tell. Tho he brings the deadly debate up for a few minutes every fathers day or so, he undermines his more positive messages and examples with his more regular resort to obligations society owes, wrongs in the past, reasons things are as bad as they are... his address to school kids which caused so much controversy, vividly painting up how extremely controversial our president is, was 2/3 about duties owed by schools and parents to the kids, emphasized above what our students can and must do to help themselves.

Don’t ask don’t tell should have been off the books long ago. Check your history prof.

Give him time, after all he has almost seven more years to meet your expectations. :2wave:
