Obama State of the Union

Odd that Repubs forget their prior President also lacked the ability to admit when he was wrong. He felt admitting would be seen as a sign of weakness. When asked shortly before leaving office any mistakes he made that he would do differently he replied he was wrong when he told the terrorists to Bring It on.......Really? thats it? In 8 yrs thats all you think you did wrong?? LMAO

Did Bush Blame the Democrats and Clinton for all that was wrong?

Did you see how Obama lectured to the GOP this morning in Baltimore?

Obama assails Republican foes, urges bipartisan effort | Reuters

The Democratic president delivered the double-edged message in a sometimes tense session at a Republican congressional retreat in Baltimore as he sought to dig out of his deepest political rut since taking office a year ago.

Facing down his Republican critics two days after a State of the Union speech aimed at reconnecting with the public, Obama sought to counter their attempt to paint him as a big-spending liberal who only wants to expand government.

He accused Republicans of portraying his now-stalled healthcare reform effort as a "Bolshevik plot" and telling their constituents he is "doing all kinds of crazy stuff that's going to destroy America."

"I am not an ideologue," Obama assured his audience, prompting some murmuring in the crowd. "I'm not."

Assailing Republicans for trying to obstruct him on everything from economic stimulus to healthcare, Obama suggested their political motive was to score points with voters in the November congressional mid-term elections.

No, I have no interest in hearing anything this egotistical individual has to say as he continues to campaign instead of leading. He continues to confirm my claim that he is an empty suit. The people of MA, N.J. and Virginia got it. The rest of the nation is getting it as well.

He didn't need to unlike Dems, Republican have their own propaganda machine. Rush being the offical mouth piece. Fox News being cable television channel. The Heritage Foundation, weekly standard and so on. All bias. All focused one 1 thing, propaganda....

The point is his idea of bi-partisian is the GOP agreeing with dems and all compromise must come from the GOP.

Another words Bush was above the blame game something Obama needs to learn. Casting blame on others and finger pointing shows Obama's lack of leadership ability.

As for your other comments, seems to me that Republicans are now doing the exact same thing by continuously being the "Party of 'NO'". You gotta call it both ways, my friend. In that regard, I agree with the President when he said it's beyond time to stop looking at their job security and start doing the work of the people. Otherwise, you have to blame Republicans just as much as Democrats for allowing this country to go so deep down the toliet (as most people see things are today).

Both sides need to get their act togeather (Dems & Rep). I blame both sides for the stalement and do nothing in WO, except to spend tax money the US doesn't have. Obama needs to tell his party to also quit looking at their job security. His statement was to one sided.

Silence on your part says it all, here is something to really think about

Texans Against Government Controlled Health Care

I'm an Texan, and I am for government controlled Health care.

I am also a Texan and I have never met a Texan who was for government controlled healthcare. Texans tend to be self reliant and don't believe in entitlements or handouts. We are a strong people who ain't askin nobody for nothing if we can't get it on our own.

Probably if I were in your shoes I too would want the govt. to save me from myself. Innovative, creative people have no problems taking personal responsibility for their own healthcare. Others who are incapable of competing need that govt. run healthcare which like all other govt. run programs will cost more than intended, do less than intended, and never solve a problem but it will certainly make you feel good.

In your world it is all about spending in the name of compassion but never getting compassionate results.

You deserve Obama as he is your kind of President, an ultra leftwing socialist.

Absolutely!! Anyone can claim anything they want on line but I tend to agree with you. I love living in this state for that very reason, independent people with conservative ideals and willing acceptance of personal responsibility.

TX is an incredible state, no state income taxes, a budget surplus, and a relatively good pro business economy. Other states could learn a lot from this state and the people that live here.

Alright, figure can have a live thread concerning the speech.

The first thing that made me grit my teeth was his comments about partisanship. If the American people are sick of partisanship, why is he engaging in it. If he's president, why doesn't he take the first step and stop. Stop attacking fox news. Stop attacking Rush Limbaugh. Stop saying we need to "work together" and then in the back room make it clear "work together" is "Shut up and do it my way".

Oh yeah like rush limbaugh is going to cooperate.

Don't forget. Number one for lethal injections, even innocent people included. They have no bias when it comes to hooking the needle up. One big happy family:roll:

Well, for one, the gun control lobby gave him an F for his first term in office.

How does the gun lobby affect you and your family? Apparently you have a problem with our founding fathers as well.

I am strictly pro gun. I think that every one should own a gun, even red blooded commie stomping americans should have the right to own a chi-com AK-47.

Keep dodging the question, think that response is cute? Try again, how does the gun lobby affect you or your family since you raised that issue as something that Obama created that helps us all.
