Many big businesses actually find other states more attractive than WA. Washington has become regulation happy. The price of real estate in the Puget Sound is still out of sight and the states budget in in shambles thanks to a tax and spend governor.

Libs & treehuggers pandering to every minority & ne'er do well hasn't helped either......
Actually, our budget problems stem from reduced revenue from sales receipts.....
Wa doesn't have an income tax.....
When times were good the Dems here spent like.....Obama is now.....

Yeah, I know. My daughter and most of my in-laws live right down the road from you, on the Mississippi coast and they're all big Saints fans and excited as hell. When I was there during the holidays the daughter bought me a nice white cap with the fleur-de-lis on it and extracted from me a promise that when I wear a cap, I would wear this one until the Saints lost. Still wearing it...LOL. I also have an old Air Force buddy who lives in Harvey and he's quite beside himself.

Because Boeing is slowly moving out of the area to cheaper pastures. Soon, all that'll be left there will be a few small plants manufacturing parts for assembly lines located in other states.

Notice that Seattle or Washington is not even mentioned on Boeing's "about us" page, while Chicago is mentioned twice:
