I saw a documentary that had former employees to include former store managers as well as trainers for store managers. Walmart pushes for record profits every yr. So even if they made billions of profit if it wasn't a record year people got canned. Profit is great but not at the expense of the people who got you there.

While you're spitting plattitudes looking down on this action, there are many people who still choose to work at Wal-Mart. For them, the benefits outweigh the costs. Who are you to look down on this voluntary transaction? Wal-Mart isn't forcing anyone to work there, so what's the big deal?

My first real job, where they took out SS, was for .50 and hour, seven days a week. and I was glad to have a Job. So don't cry to me about low wages.

Do you know of any companies that don't try to have higher sales and profits each year???

    I certainly don't.

Many of them make up for a low wage by supplementing it with welfare. So it works out in the end for these workers.

Your tax dollars hard at work to help subsidize Walmart's bottom line

lt's a lot of fun being here right now with Superbowl and Mardi Gras. Nothing like this has ever happened here. It's huge!

I guess everybody is making lots of money.

And we have local elections next weekend. Everybody is thrilled to be getting rid of Mayor Nagin. He's been such an embarrassment and there are term limits, thank god!

    Hey, thanks!

    So, welfare should be discontinued.
