Because they want to continue being a profitable corporation.

Which means the deadwood gets burned.

Not very much for a company the size of Wal-Mart.

    So what's your problem?

    They've been outsourced.

What do you think that means?

Usually, when a large organization outsources a type of work it used to do in house, most of the people who did it in-house get hired by the outsource company. A lot of the time, they don't even switch desks.

Apparently you can only train a Human for one purpose at the many, many fine Walmart and Sams Club locations.
Division of labor on a larger scale.

Walmart is letting another group, that is geared towards that type of marketing, do the demonstrations.

WalMart and Sam's club are going to have to streamline and have more efficient demos so that they can roll back their prices.

They've been steadily raising their prices around here. Somewhere along those lines they must have crossed a particular one. Kroger is opening new stores around here that carry all of the items that WalMart carries, and Kroger has dropped their food prices at all of their stores to never before seen new lows.

I expect WalMart to end up closing Sam's stores in the near future as an attempt to stay competitive.

It appears that China will sell to anybody.

Yeah... Kroger doesn't sell anything made in China...

I shop at Krogers, Wal-Mart, and Sams all the time. Kroger can't touch Wal-Mart's prices. For everyday grocery shopping, I go to Wal-Mart. To buy items in bulk like paper towels, coffee, etc., I go to Sams. For unusual food items, I go to Kroger. For meat, I go to the small grocery store in the town I live in. None of the others can touch their meat prices or quality.

The ladies doing demos at Sams are usually older ladies and they are only there a couple of hours a day. Some are good and tell you about the food, others don't even say a word to you. I do like going to Sams for lunch and tasting all the goodies. Time it right, and you can have an appetizer, entree, a dessert, and a drink.
