Isn't that what most of wal mart's employees are?

How is that not in tune with what I originally responded with.
They are trying to increase the bottom-line! That's their goal.

I thought walmart made, billions upon billions of dollars annually last year. Why are they cutting these jobs then? I guess all that money went to Scott lee CEO who made $29.7 million in his earnings.
....so they can continue to make money?

    Come on Silly,

Why would a CEO take money from a CEO. Besides, we all know that the CEOs of the top corporations are paid the most because otherwise there would be morons running the company.

Apparently you can only train a Human for one purpose at the many, many fine Walmart and Sams Club locations.
In this case, most of the jobs are just shifting to another company. It happens around where I work all the time. So who cares? Only the people that don't like Walmart because they are not unionized and now are spinning this announcement to make Walmart look like the bad-guy.

"Shopper Events, based in Rogers, Arkansas, next to Bentonville, plans to hire about the same number of workers that Samís Club is firing, Cornell said in the memo. Employees can apply for Shopper Events jobs, he said.

Shopper Events already handles food sampling and demonstrations of cosmetics, lawn equipment and other products inside Walmartís U.S. stores, Brian Pear, vice president and general manager, said today in a telephone interview. The company will seek to improve Samís Clubís demo stations, signs and uniforms, according to the memo to employees."

I love Walmart. I usually shop there though when the crowds aren't around, say, after midnight, in my pajamas. No one seems to care.

So, you truly think Walmart should outsource the instore demonstations to a company that specializes in such, and keep their own demonstrators to do... what exacty?

They won't be demoing anymore - Should they just be kept and allow them to stand around and pantomime giving out samples?

Or are you suggesting they be kept around and take hours from the other cashiers?

Why don't you become CEO and then you can make the decision?
