But the force they exihibited in the video just shows that cops are nothing but cowards who rely on superior numbers to abuse innocent people.

If I was being arrested for not doing anything wrong, I would resist absolutely and if it wasn't for the simple reason that they can get away with anything, I'm sure you would as well. If you don't then just continue to play dead.
Did you see when the cops first came up and asked him to quiet it down? No, there is some tape missing here.

He was trying to antagonize the crowd whose team was losing. You don't have to be Einstein to figure out what was going to happen next. What little of the clip you see one doesn't see any Charger fans acting out against him yet.

This may be a hard concept for you, but it is often better to be pre-ventive than post-reactive.

I will grant you this, but I think one could make some pretty good inferences based upon the Chargers fans who are defending the arrested Jets fan.

So why were those fans defending the Jets fan? Seems like they'd have been more than happy to see him led away if we apply your logic.

They were probably his buddies. Friends on opposing sides go to games together all the time. Especially here in Viking/Packer Land. I would have to see the missing footage before I could judge if the cops had probable cause to arrest him. I do know, it will be a lot worse for him because he resisted.

    That's true, I hadn't thought of that.

I doubt if the Charger fans would have defended the obnoxious dude. I wouldn't have.

I would like to see those fancy panties San Diego cops try to arrest a Boston Red Sox fan in Yankee stadium on game day. Half of those pigs look like they haven't seen a salad since graduation day. I hope the Jets fan sues for a billion dollars.

The video isn't clear enough to make out the jurisdiction, but to me they look and act like suburban cops.

Now, if this guy was in Philadelphia at a Jets Eagles game it could have gone a lot worst for him. Here security was painfully slow.

Sometimes fans are just plain stupid with the addition of liquid courage. Had a hockey player friend of mine who told me about a fan harassing him and team mate in the penalty box. The fan kept it up and was leaning over the top of the glass when he spilled into the penalty box with the two players.
It was a wrong move on the undersized fan.

Part of that has to do with the fact that Philly is an ebullient cesspool of human sewage.
