so because she was a vp candidate this makes her and her daughter more special than millions of other mothers and daughters? sorry, she is no more special than others that have gone through this. being a vp nominee doesnt give her any special insight.

If she was pro life she would have done the best to give her baby the best chance in the world for a good healthy life.

A female having a baby at age 20 the odds of having a child with Down's syndrome is 1 in 1500.
At age 35 the odds are worst with 1 in 350.
At age 43 they are 1 in 50.
At age 45 they are 1 in 30.

She had her baby at age 44. That is totally irresponsible. It is not worth the risk having a child at that age.
That child will never have one-tenth the life she has had. It will have 20 times more medical problems than her.
Having a child at that age is worst than smoking right up to delivery.

Please get rid of the overused prolife crap.

All the focus is on Bristol and her mother.

Why not focus on the loser redneck heck of a pathetic sperm donor that fathered that child and how much of a classic 'failed male role model and classic absent father figure' he's being? Instead of stepping up and being a man he's stepping down and being a douche licker - very classic, he joins the club on that one.

Palin's doing what mother's tend to do: support their children eventhough they've erred.
Bristol's doing what pregnant teens tend to do: have kids too early and lean on Mom and Dad for support.
And the sperm donor is doing what sperm donors tend to do: Run amuck, set a bad example and fit the classic 'fatherless' figure that most teen-fathers tend to do.

At least they're all on track.

Now, will the baby grow up to mimick the bad example of his father? I hope not.

because he is just a kid himself who was forced into fatherhood.I imagine most familys dont have the conversation of " you have to have the child because its important to my political ambitions".

Yeah, I understand it. . . it's a common immature reaction to having to deal with the results of your decisions (or lack of).

I do believe he expects rational people to make responsible decisions when it comes to having children past a certain age.
