Watching this intelligent person impersonator, I am amazed that anyone, especially neo-cons, would want her anywhere near the power of the Presidency. (Do they really think they could manipulate her like they did Bush?) That "dear in the head lights" stare, as the styrofoam gears in her head try to churn up patriotic rhetoric, is soooo reminiscent of her trying to answer that other gotcha question, "What newspapers and magazines do you read?"

Even the Beckster can't stand it as he smirks at her inability to answer another simple gotcha question.

I just wish we had a video of her asking her handlers, "But... but... but, why again are there "two" Koreas?"
:doh

Is this thread supposed to be about how stupid Palin is? Just wondering.

shhhhhhhh...don't bring out hypocrisy. It never applies to liberals.

I'm still trying to figure out how this fits on this forum.

I'm terrified of her! :rofl

Actually, was that video even real? Palin has so blurred the line between satire and reality that I can't even tell which is which anymore.

If some liberals think that Palin is so irrelevant, wouldn't it make sense for those liberals to stop paying attention to her and discussing her? Just wondering about that.

That depends. Do you feel that people who don't believe in Creationism should just stop arguing against it every time the debate comes up to teach it in our schools?

Yes it was real, but the wording is a little off.

Humorously ignorant is always more interesting than irrelevant.

Notice what I said; if they think she is irrelevant. If one thinks that the Creationism issue is irrelevant, then yes, there is no reason to present it. Your analogy does not match what I said. In your analogy, the person obviously cares about the creationism issue, so of course they should argue it.

Then who are you referring to in this thread that believe Palin is irrelevant?

I'm speaking in general. I've lots of liberals say she's irrelevant or something similar. I just don't understand if she doesn't matter the reason to discuss her... other than the train wreck factor.

You just answered your own question. :)

Well, okay. It was just confusing how you suddenly interjected the irrelevant factor into the thread. It sounded less like you were introducing a new point and more like you were responding to someone specifically within the thread.

But anyway, to build on that, ignoring her would do no good because whatever other weaknesses she has, she is bar none one of the best self-promoters I have ever seen. She's built her fame on the shoulders of being...well, famous. There was a woman who built her fame along similar lines in Los Angeles in the eighties or nineties...Angelyn, I believe...and she achieved fame by putting herself on billboards everywhere. No reason, no context, just her face and name. Eventually enough people got to believe that for whatever reason, she was a famous person.

That video was edited, poorly. It's comedy.

There's her real response.

she still couldn't think of anything. too funny.

I don't see many claiming she is irrelevant. Stupid, yes. Corrupt, yes. A poor speaker, yes. A quitter, yes. A hopeful for 2012, yes. Irrelevant, not so much.

You see threads about her since she is an easy conservative to make fun of and score points off of.
