Dodd is Out!

CT may be blue to the core, but don't forget NJ just elected a Republican governor. I'm sure they expect to lose both of those seats or they wouldn't have resigned. 2010 is shaping up to be a landslide for Repbulicans.

It is fun watching the libs trying to spin all these dems cutting and running.

I agree. And I say that I hope someone looks into how much booty-loot they are trying to run away with.

Hopefully, a Republican one, keep your fingers crossed. (Except when typing, of course, I am not unkind.)

No, hopefully a conservative one.

Remember Lowell Weicker, the self-proclaimed "turd in the Republican's punchbowl"?

yup, pigs in sheep's clothing - pigs who act like sheep - LOL - that's Connecticut - worse part about them is getting behind them on the road - boy, do they suck at driving too.

No, you certainly would rather be behind them. Connecticut is the only state where one needs to approach green lights with caution. I don't think any of them can see red lights.

those independents put lieberman in office when he was last elected rather than the democrat that was chosen in a closed democratic primary by the state's lockstep liberal democrats. Dodd even told lieberman not to run. look where Dodd is today, a lameduck!!

I've been behind them on the road - trust me, you don't want to be behind them - I don't think they see the road that good, let alone the lights.

Gibbs just said that Dodd says he will continue to work on consumer protection.

Ain't that intersting - Dodd is the Banking Committee Chairman and he says he will work on consumer protection.

OK - most folks had their credit cards and home loans for years with little trouble - Dodd becomes Chairman of the Banking Committee and look at all the people throughout the country who are in financial trouble with their credit cards and their homes like never felt before - f '''ing people's credit history like never before.

And let's not forget the bailout given to the banks who have jocked so many people's credit history and wallets.

Connecticut ought to be proud getting Dodd back home.

See, if you look hard enough, you can find common ground. Lieberman has something in common with Dodd.

you got that right. they(congress) take billions of dollars of our money and give it to the banks while the banks suck to the average person dry.

i'd perfer Lieberman over most democratic senators any day.

Same-same. But Lieberman is really no bargain either - afterall, he was a Democrat, and he's from Conn Artist - come to think of it, he looks like one to me.

i would take that mean that you think all politicians are Conn Artist. Yes?

No - I believe there are some really good politicians out there - the majority of them? No, and that is because the Dems hold the majority.

Anyway.........

Don't get me wrong - I like Lieberman's stance on the war on terror - but he does vote with the Dems on the social front - he voted for the Health Care Bill - that's a no-no to me. The country is in a financial hole and he OK'd the taxing for the health care bill for 4 years before it even takes affect - I am sure they are going to make health care worse for the majority of the average working person - I guess he may have more of a personal stake in the war against terror - he's a liberal who just happens to have a personal stance on an issue.

Lieberman voted to end debate on the amnesty bill for illegal aliens, then he voted for it.

Lieberman wanted to also end debate with the health care bill, then he voted for it.

Before voting he said otherwise each time - what he says beforehand and what he does don't jive - a true Conn Artist.

Dodd is a swine - look at his face - it says it all - oink - oink - look at Barney Frank's too - another oinker - I hope he is next to go.
Okay, let's not go overboard.

if that's the only difference, it's worth my vote.

Lieberman over who?

over the past democrat the party pushed against him.

i don't think the democratic party, national or state, will oppose him in his next reelection, unless they like defeat.

mtm1963

While this is good news overall, it's actually bad news for Republicans. The prospect of running against Dodd was the only reason they had a chance in such a Democratic state.

That's why its good news for the Democrats. Go Peter Schiff, son of convicted tax evader Irwin Schiff!

I think a Republican should run against him.
