Supposing that the New American Right succeed in tapping into the vein of bigotry and prejudice, and the celebration of ignorance over reason, that now seems to be prevalent following the election of Obama, what would the outcome then be:

    1. A solidly extremist GOP that wins the Presidency and both houses, and plunges America into a quagmire of repression, theocracy and division, the global economy into chaos as they bankrupt the banks and the aiutomotive supply chain and the world into war as they blame foreigners for the whole mess they have created. Or.

    2. A solidly extremist GOP that never wins an election again, giving hegemony to a range of statists career Democrats, who will gorge even more on the gravy train, bankrupt the US economy, bring union demanded protectionism in to "protect US jobs", causing a global depression and then plunging the world into war as they blame China and India...

    3. A solidly extremist GOP that destroys the GOP so badly that a thrid party emerges that takes the centre ground from both parties and wins elections with 60% of the vote. But that would likley degenerate into a weirder version of 2 in the end.

Anyway. I'm rootiong for these troglodytes to lose and for decent Republicans to win so that the checks and balances of moderate republicans versus moderate liberals can continue for some more time to come.

    The alternative is a nightmare.
I challenge you to prove any of this.

"Fly-over" country voted, and The Donald is now POTUS.

I cannot believe the stupidity of this comment.

My post was speculative as is any "future scanario" or potential assessment of how something will develop.

Of course it cannot be proved. What dry algebraic view of life would demand "proof" for a prediction?

The question is whether my statement was rational or not. Should you care to dispute the reason in my post, please feel free to refute its argument.

"Prove it" is a very silly response.

What? It's a joke! Now you may say it's not funny, but "uncalled for"? How sad.
