Dems not worried about post-vote backlash at home

On the floor before the vote, Majority Leader Harry Reid said, "We're going to hear an earful, but it's going to be an earful of wonderment and happiness that people waited for for a long time."

Yeah, the polls just show this to be true...

I wonder how Reid will feel about the "joy" when he and about a dozen other Senators are unemployed come Nov?

The Fix - NV-Sen: Harry Reid's Dilemma

Interestingly, according to this article the last time a Senate majority leader got voted out of office was... 1952. By the looks of it though, Reid would need a miracle to stop it from happening again next year.

Harry Reid is really not very smart but has no doubt socked away a lot of his ill gotten gains as a corrupt politician to retire on back in that little wide spot on Highway 95 on the way to Sin City which has a population of less than 800. Where the Town leader is chosen because they are the one who has more than one tooth in front.

Okay that's not fair I have actually seen plenty of people there with 4 even 5 teeth in front.

Seriously Reid has trailed in the polls for a very long time and has pissed off the Las Vegas Review Journal and is called out by them on a regular basis. There may be a few Dims (no spell error) who can convince people back home their anti American activities were something they were not but I don't think so. People are slowly coming out of the brain fog condition Obama has had them in and the polls show it. The Liberal tactic of cover the last lie with and even bigger one has just about petered out finally.

No they're not worried... Mine, David Scott, will not be making any personal appearances, and his little peeon Hellen Griffin is making sure that no private meetings are scheduled either!

I have no idea what will happen, or that this issue will be what makes the difference, but let me ask, if no one or very few lose their jobs, what would be the reason for that?

The weak-spined Democrats need to worry if they don't stop acting like Republicans and if they don't start doing the things that they were elected to do.
The American people are not happy with the healthcare bill NOT because they don't want Healthcare reform as the party of NO would like to spin this.
They aren't happy with it because of the watering down that people like Lieberman and the other weak Democrats foisted upon them.

One thing is for certain though...the American people understand that there is no difference between Republicans and Democrats who act like Republicans....so if the Democrats don't start acting like Democrats...there is no harm in bringing back Republicans that mismanaged this country so badly the last time they were in power.
Its been several weeks since the Vegas shooting. Its it still "Too Early" or can we start having the conversation about finally doing something about these mass shootings???

Yes, that's right, push for a single payer UHC system. Go ahead. See how well the "people" love you then.

I disagree.. There WOULD be great harm in doing so...

We conservatives are fully involved and we are taking back the Republican party, so that we can rid our party of progressives and castrate the socialist agenda.... sans anesthesia!

Socialism (progressivism) is STILL the enemy of freedom and liberty and WE are taking the fight to them in 2010!

Pick a side folks .. it's going to be an interesting year in the old US of A!

Do you really think that 11 months from now, 12 senators who supported this will be out a job over this? The economy is going to be the big determinant to who people vote for in 2010. If the economy is improved significantly, dems will do well, it not, then dems won't do well. Health care is not going to be the big issue people vote on.
