Personally, I loved seeing Franken object. Lieberman has been a jackass, and deserved to be silenced by someone significantly junior to him. :rofl

Why should LIeberman have "NO say?" After all, he was elected as a Senator by the good people of the State of Connecticut despite the best efforts of the Democrats to stab him in the back. He deserves exactly the same consideration of any other Senator duly elected by the people of his/her state (which, BTW MAY exclude Franken, who's own election is rather significantly more controversial than Lieberman's.)

Well, of course John McCain was exaggerating this. Those two have been friends for years. I see it as little more than two friends backing each other up. People are attaching just a little bit too much to this story.
