Palin says Obama should boycott Copenhagen over hacked e-mails

Sarah Palin says President Barack Obama should reverse plans to attend the Copenhagen climate summit in light of hacked e-mails among climate scientists recently made public.

Climate skeptics say the messages — hacked from the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia in the U.K. — reveal attempts to manipulate data and squelch dissenting views.

Palin, on her Facebook page last night, attacked what she called "junk science and doomsday scare tactics pushed by an environmental priesthood that capitalizes on the public's worry and makes them feel that owning an SUV is a 'sin' against the planet."

Is this chick for real? What scares me is that people actually listen to her.

The Emperor not only has no clothes, she's an empty-headed twit to boot.

don't quote her or talk about her and she just might go away.

Palin should boycott it.

Yeah, the evidence really panned out on that one.

Got any evidence that Bush actually, knowingly lied about the reasons or going into Iraq?

There's plenty of proof that global warming alarmists actually, knowingly lied about global warming.

How much does it suck to be a Libbos nowadays?

I didn't say that.

I said the evidence of WMDs was wrong. And some of us figured that out beforehand.

How many do you want?

George W. Bush, Speech to UN General Assembly
"Right now, Iraq is expanding and improving facilities that were used for the production of biological weapons."

George W. Bush, Radio Address
"Iraq has stockpiled biological and chemical weapons, and is rebuilding the facilities used to make more of those weapons."

"Iraq has stockpiled biological and chemical weapons, and is rebuilding the facilities used to make more of those weapons. We have sources that tell us that Saddam Hussein recently authorized Iraqi field commanders to use chemical weapons -- the very weapons the dictator tells us he does not have."
George W. Bush, Radio Address 10/5/2002

"We've also discovered through intelligence that Iraq has a growing fleet of manned and unmanned aerial vehicles that could be used to disperse chemical or biological weapons across broad areas."
George W. Bush, Cincinnati, Ohio Speech 10/7/2002

Oh wait my bad! Bush was simply given bad intelligence! Well not really:

Bush misused Iraq intelligence - US Senate report

WASHINGTON, June 5 (Reuters) - U.S. President George W. Bush and his top policymakers misstated Saddam Hussein's links to terrorism and ignored doubts among intelligence agencies about Iraq's arms programs as they made a case for war, the Senate intelligence committee reported on Thursday.

The report shows an administration that "led the nation to war on false premises," said the committee's Democratic Chairman, Sen. John Rockefeller of West Virginia. Several Republicans on the committee protested its findings as a "partisan exercise."

The committee studied major speeches by Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and other officials in advance of the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in March 2003, and compared key assertions with intelligence available at the time.

Statements that Iraq had a partnership with al Qaeda were wrong and unsupported by intelligence, the report said.

Snip...

Please, please enlighten us with links. And no, people that are not scientists but writers that are on the payrolls of right wing organizations, or the coal industry do not count. ;)

I have to say that Palin has a pretty good strategy. All she has to do is dole out advice on how she thinks things should be run and it makes a news story. Call her what you want, but that's pretty ingenious. Just a note to people on the left: If you don't like her and are sick of hearing about her, stop talking about her. I realize that people on the left aren't the only ones starting threads about this woman, but they would decrease significantly if you were to halt this.

I do so hope she gets the Republican nomination

Not a bad idea, ignore her and hope she goes away.

It sounds like Palin is running her mouth without her brain being in gear again. It seems a lot of Republican politicians will grasp at any straw that gives them a free pass to avoid addressing the global warming issue, which now includes excuses such as a boycott of all things.

As for the Left not responding to her foolishness that would be as ridiculous as agreeing to whatever happens to be her rant of choice for the day. She's the mouthpiece for enough of the Republican base who agree with her to deserve a rebuttal. Ignoring her won't make her shut or go away because she has a fan base large enough to support her objective of seeking recognition and the big paycheck that goes with it.

As long as the Republican base continues to financially support her we will continue to be bombarded by the world according to Sarah Palin.

It's a debate forum. Talking is what we do. She's not going to go away just because we don't talk about her.

Actually, Palin is right on this issue. Isn't it amazing how logic trumps political correctness, even if liberals can't bear to admit it.

Liberals and political correctness in one sentence. Nice!

OMG, someone who gets it! As of right now, of the top 6 threads in this section, 4 are about Palin. 3 of those 4 were started by non-Palin supporters. It's time to let this one go.

You're talking about her right now!

Oh no, so am I!

Let's stop talking about stopping talking about her.

I'm not talking about her. I'm talking about not talking about her. But you're talking about me talking about not talking about her, so that means you are talking about her. So I'm going to talk about you talking about me talking about not talking about her so that I'm still not talking about her. Or something like that.

I do so hope she gets the Republican nomination

Me too! It was also be one of the most entertaining campaigns we've had in a long time. No more dumb blonde jokes needed, they will all become Palin jokes! :rofl

I talk about her only to reinforce to those in the center or independents what she represents.

She represents, IMHO, everything that is wrong with this country -- hyper-partisanship, lack of critical thinking abilities, 2nd rate education, no basic understanding of public policy and economics... I could go on.

Palin and W. are the not-so-bright politicians who are easily manipulated by the power-brokers in their own party...

I enjoy folksy shopkeepers in small towns. But I don't want "folksy" running this country.

We don't want her to go away....the longer she is in the spotlight...the better it is for us from the middle to the left.

We need to convince the GOP that she is their best bet in 2012.
