Chris Mathews Calls West Point an "Enemy camp"

I visited West Point once. Extremely impressive.

Probably the most difficult all-around college syllabus in the world.

Mental acuity. Physical excellence. Ethical discipline. Interior fortitude.

Only the very best of the best survive this four-year gauntlet.

I live about 45 minutes from it. Route 218, storm king highway. Great Motorcycle rd...

he's biased. but his point was clear enough, and true. obama showed some guts addressing that audience.

Well, he did have his Secret Service contingent and his teleprompter backup.

I take Chris Matthews as an award winning and well respected political commentator. I think he was accurate in his observation that the West Point audience is politically conservative.

Seeing as how Obama has released classified documents to the enemy, which could endanger military lives during time of war, one could deduce that Obama was in an enemy camp and be quite accurate since any other ordinary person having done same would have been held on charges of high treason. I imagine the cadets wonder whether the CIC has their best interests in mind.

The cadets were probably ordered to put on a show for the POTUS, make him feel good. You know how the military is, support the man whether they like him or not.

I won't disagree it was a poor choice of words, only because we're still in a hyper PC society and as much as conservatives bitch about political correctness when it comes to thinks they care about they too can get up in arms about it.

My issue with it was those trying to act like it was proof matthews hates the military, trying to act like he LITERALLY viewed them as an "enemy camp", trying to imply this is example of why we need a civil war, etc.

It was a ill worded common turn of phrase trying to describe Obama going to speak before a likely unreceptive crowd

Reading to get caught up in this, my first thought today was it was odd seeing the right wing get all politically correct.

:rofl to the kill bind landn book. I agree, they were listen to every word he was saying.

First, he never says he's unbiased. Second, he's an ass most of the time. That was a VERY stupid and frankly incorrigible thing to say. He apologized tonight, but he did the damage already. He has foot in mouth disease.

And yet he has a network news show....

He does? I watch Hardball, which is not a news show, and he has a show on Sunday mornings, which also is not a news show. When is his news show on?

The following also claim to have one: O'Reilly, Hannity, and Beck, but people still watch their stupid bloviating asses. Look, it's called "Hardball", not Newsball. ;)

The Chris Matthews Show is a half-hour weekend news and political roundtable program produced by NBC News. It is taped in Washington, D.C., and nationally syndicated by NBC Universal Television Distribution. The program debuted on September 22, 2002.

I think it's common knowledge that Mathews is a hyper-ventilating mouthfoamer. That's his schtick I guess, but seems you don't hear the same criticism of his show that you get with Hannity.
