Depression involves coping skills....just because someone can cope for a little while at a party doesn't mean the depression is gone.

Truth rings hollow in empty heads.
I don't really know how to feel about this.
Having lived with a clinically depressed father for decades, I know a lot more than most people about what depression does and does not do to you. Unlike this lady, he works and has never missed a day due to depression. He laughs and has a good time too, but is still depressed. I think if you are able to make it to a party and have a good time, you can do SOMETHING. It would be no different than one of these "undercover investigations" where they show a supposedly crippled accident victim walking around inside his home. If he can walk, even with a limp, is he crippled?
I am not a doctor nor a psyc, so I don't know. But if shes feeling good enough to go to a party and then post the photos on her webpage, then yea, she is probably not feeling so depressed all the time that she shouldn't work.
I'm kinda 50-50 on the fence on this one. I can easily see both sides of the argument.
