How low will he go? Obama gives Japan's Emperor Akihito a wow bow

These people are so anti-gay yet they kiss and hold each others hand's like you wouldnt believe.

The kiss picture is clearly fake. In the real picture they kiss on the cheeks, which is the custom in Saudi Arabia...

As for holding hands.. no that is not a custom when it comes to complete strangers.. only very old friends and family get that honour.

And yes I have first hand experience of Saudi culture..

I know its fake and i know at most they kiss on the cheeks but for a whole culture/religion based on extreme homophobia its amusing they can hold hands and kiss each other lol.

So you said

Oh I agree.. in fact as I have claimed before, homosexuality in the deeply religious part of the Arab world is more common and accepted in many ways than most westerners would believe. The reason are very simple since men and women are kept apart for most of their lives and the fact that they are only human and will start to get feelings for their own sex since the opposite sex is no where to be seen for the most part.

But the whole culture is not based on extreme homophobia tbh, it the religious nutjobs that run the society that are the homophobes (like in Christianity). Funny part I would claim that many of those Imams are like priests in Christianity, actually gay themselves.

That is very interesting Pete.

But i believe Christianity is far more suited for the modern world and overall a far more progessive and advanced, and no offence, but "humane" religion than Islam is. My favourite verse from the bible:
Render unto ceaser's the things which are ceasers; and unto god the things which are are gods

Whereas the Koran mixes in the financial and political aspects of life which has made it the cause of huge conflict.

There is no doubt the Church has a history of savage barbarianism. We where picking our arses when the Muslims where building civilizations of collosal size. But regardless, i believe Christianity is a religion better suited for a changing world, and by nature far more peaceful, sensible and civilized.

Do you think it is correct for people to have to suffer from the bad decisions of other people?

Would you like to suffer from my bad decisions? Would that be fair?

Ask the hundreds of thousands of people denied jobs in the mid 80s and early 90s due to affirmative action quotas.....

Was it fair for them to suffer the bad decisions of law makers?

Photoshopped piece of ****.

Its already been discussed on this website and determined to be photoshopped by folks on the left and right, try again.

Dear liberal,

Kissing in Islamic culture is a sign of camaraderie done by equals. Contrarily, bowing is a sign of deference done by an inferior to a superior -- in EVERY culture. I know reason isn't really a strong point for liberals, but I hope I have helped you out. ;)

Thanks,

K-1.

You're a bit pompous for someone who is incorrect. It is customary for equals to bow to each other. Try searching "bow of equals."

Oh yay. This was a subject we talked about during my Japanese-American relations class. It was in the school paper and I figured I would toss it towards the prof and see what she had to say. She said it was actually hilarious because while the Japanese do consider a bow to be a sign of respect amongst their culture, the shaking of the hand was not. It appears Obama's aides or whoever handles Japanese affairs did not research how to properly greet an individual from their state. You do no bow and shake hands, you merely bow. I guess he didn't know and just did both to cover both bases. Anyway, I do believe this is being blown out of proportion.
