Thats incorrect. Obama was known to be a very likely contender from early on. No one knew exactly how strong he would be before Iowa, but absolutely he was expected to give Hilary a strong race.

You are correct that there could be a wildcard....but I don't think I would want to be hedging my bets on that one. Remember when they were saying that Jindal was going to be that wildcard?

    WRONG.

NOBODY BUT NOBODY was supposed to come close to beating Hillary. That was conventional wisdom from the leftist media.

You speak as if Jindal is dead in the water....I have not seen any evidence of this.

That's why I went from SAP ...Socialist of America Party (Dem) to Republican... that and a couple million miles of international travel, living in the socialist utopia called the EU and Kanuckistan.

Thank you Captain Obvious for pointing out no one can accurately predict the future. I'll stand by my arrogance - it's got some historical context you see and history has a way of repeating itself.
Come again? Your basic argument boils down to Obama not doing what you like. That of course does not equate to him losing an election. Historical context suggests my position, not yours, is correct.

Anyone who thinks they can predict who will win or lose in 2012 now is pretty much a fool.

He is absolutely dead in the water after his deer in the headlights performance in the Republican response to the state of the union.
That was more damaging than Palin's constant blunders.

Actually, and you should know better, won't matter a hill of beans in two years. Did not matter a hill of beans two minutes ago either.

I can....If Health Scare and Scam & Tax are passed, our current difficulties will look like a picnic by comparison.

Trust me....Jindal was DOA. The man did so horribly that there is no way that the GOP will back him. It was unlikely that they would have backed him anyway....his performance was simply the nail in his coffin.
