That the raids will continue is a fact that Emmalyn’s California Cannabis Clinic, in San Francisco's Mission District, experienced first-hand. Although the dispensary says it follows California's regulations on dispensaries -- they must be not-for-profit, all customers must be club members and have a valid marijuana prescription, and pot growers must also be club members -- the cannabis dispensary was raided by federal authorities "less than a week after Holder’s announcement," Mission Local states.

Well so much for that. Didnt think Obama or Holder had the stomach to tell the government street gangs to lay off innocent people and I was right.

This is weird. I'm sitting in the same spot of the library when I first heard that Obama was going to stop the raids. I almost thought I walked into a void and come back out last year when Obama was campaigning and hadn't become El Presidente.

then I realized I wasn't so lucky.

Obama's not the problem. He looks much like all Presidents within the past 50 years.

Please say it isn't so that Obama said one thing but his minions are doing something he doesn't condone! OMG it's like the flap over his justice department letting the Sacramento Mayor off the hook for corruption or letting the convicted Black Panthers go free. Obama had nothing to do with it.
Christ when are people going to wake up to the constant flow of lies coming from Obama. He says one thing does another but it's not him. Tell a lie get caught, hell just tell another to change the subject. I can hear him now saying the prosecutors have to act on the laws in accordance with their own conscience or words to that effect.

Wait, your actually for the decriminalization of marijuana?

I don't think he has a choice. He has to execute the law as dictated to him by Congress and the Judiciary. That's his job. The law is f'ed up. It needs to change. But till so, I think Obama has to enforce it.

He doesn't have to enforce any law he doesn't want to enforce.

Is it too much to ask that just once we get a competent attorney general? Jesus titty****ing Christ. I mean, with the exception of Michael Mukasey's one-year interim term, it's been EIGHTEEN YEARS since we've had an attorney general who wasn't a total embarrassment.

It comes as no surprise.

The memo released by the DOJ were guidelines on how to best allocate resources, they were not even close to a concrete "Though shall not raid a pot clinic". Although it would have been nice to see everyone follow the guidelines, it was inevitable that someone would disregard this and do a bit of grandstanding (a great resume builder for career minded up and coming public [dis]servant).

Something that is very telling from the article (I need to see if I can dig up more info on this tomorrow) is this:

They came in with their guns drawn and pointed them right in our faces like we are criminals,” said Rose, a quiet Filipino woman with rheumatoid arthritis who manages the spotless clinic. “They twisted one of our patient’s arms and put a gun to his head. He was crying. It was so scary.”

The agents confiscated plants and medical cannabis, which were never returned. Nobody was arrested and no charges were ever filed

WTF?! is his game going to be to intimidation, harassment, and pushing these clubs out of business via confiscation now?

This looks like someone who suddenly feels his hands tied, but wants pursue an agenda, and/or try to stake out a future for his career, and as such is trying to pull on the chains a bit and see how much slack there is in them (unfortunately there was slack left still)

What gets me the most is all that effort, and all those people harassed, and not one stinking charge.

99.9% of those co-ops are out to make profit....if not then why do they insist of buying their product from small time growers or who ever and insist that it be manicure perfectly, transported to them, sold to them at bottom basement prices, fronted to them for no additional cost and then turn around and sell it all for top end prices...double what they pay at min.
They have been shooting themselves in the foot for years...each one moves sh*tloads of product....and from what I see they are for the most part very reluctant to give back to the community....

This not for profit junk is just a bunch of hocus pokus. They are banking big money.
