Vermont to Register Non-Gun Owners?

Actually she does have the right to say whatever she wants. However, that doesn't mean she would necessarily be protected from the consequences of saying it.

My father always told me that I could do anything I wanted to do as long as I was willing to pay the price that comes with it.

The price for saying certain things on this board is to be banned. If it is worth that price for a person to post what they want, they will do so. That is their right. Banning them from posting further would be the right of the site admins/moderators.

The internet grants you many of the rights you have in the real world. And too like the real world, in certain places, owned by certain people, your rights can be infringed upon because it's THEIR space and you are a visitor. Especially a free forum.

tl;dr

agree'd

Understood and agreed. The last paragraph of my previous post states basically that.

I do appreciate having a site to debate politics. I really wish that people would debate in good faith rather than trying to obscure and obfuscate the issues. :)

No she doesn't, see the forum rules.

If she had the right then her saying such would be impervious to penalty.

now we're arguing different sides of the coin. She does have the right to say what she wants, but the site has the right to pwn her if she does exercise that right. But then, if we toss around different definitions for the word "Right" then we can definitely see that both sides of the debate are correct. So let's just agree to disagree.

Flaming is a dick thing to do on a forum that holds civility in high regard.

Can we be friends now guys?

Let's just agree that you're wrong :2wave:

Let's just agree that you seem to like using different definitions for words to make your point so you can never be wrong.

I still wanna be friends. :D

I see what you did there...

You're right when you use your dictionary. That good enough for you? It's about all I can offer you.

I offered you a link to the forum rules. If she agrees to a rule-set she forfeits her right to free speech voluntarily. She does not retain it.

DP is not a free-speech zone. It is a privately owned site who reserves the right to sensor anything it pleases.

She retains the right, she just agree's to keep her rights within the confines of the site's rules. If she were to have lost the right completely, what would be the point of posting?

Which means no insulting.

You've been arguing the contrary, but now you equivocate. As I said, let's just agree that you're wrong :2wave:

I'm not her to answer.

yeah but you said she lost the right, C'mon Captain Semantics, I wouldn't have expected you to make a contradiction like that.

No she doesn't, see the forum rules.

Sounds like you're saying she doesn't have the right to even excercise it.

Your response here is clear and indusputable proof that you are not paying attention.

I have not -disputed- anything.

I HAVE asked you to support your assumptions that:
-A significant number of people will not use a gun if they have it no matter how desperate the situation
- Everyone will use health insurance under the same degree of desperation.
-That even if everyone has a gun, the number of people that will use a gun to defend themselces will not significantly increase.

These three assumptions are the foundation of your argument; again, I ask you to support them.

Otherwise, your argument is nothing but a strawman.

YOU are, again, not paying attention, as I have not argued for or against anything.

Interesting that there has been no response to this post.

Funny thing is, I don't even know who we're talking about or what was said, and I still win the point

It's easy, scroll back a few pages to when the issue arose, or have you deleted your posts to cover your tracks?

You can only delete posts for 25 minutes after they were made ;)

You can ask a mod to verify if you'd like, as they can see all deleted posts and all versions of every post at every stage of editing :2wave:

I was just playing with you Jerry.

P.S. I'm coming for your tetris score!!! Slowly but surely...You know what...I'm pretty God awful at level 10 so...I wouldn't really worry...

You're welcome to try, you may even get it for a while, but I'll take it back. It's mine forever.

HAHAHA the best I've ever gotten on that version of tetris is like 100k...and I think I was on speed and redbull when I did that. Your 400k is safe, until my next binge...
