It isn't nearly as easy to promote the birth rate as it is to promote immigration. Just look at the birth rates in Sweden and Finland, which have some of the most family-friendly laws and programs in the world.

Yes, but just because it's easier doesn't mean it's the best policy. There's still the issue of our cultural and national identity, which cannot be preserved and promoted by allowing a sizable minority of unassimilated immigrants to exist and grow within our borders.

If you acknowledge that increasing our population is necessary, it seems to me that the best solution is the one with the highest likelihood of actually working. You can encourage people to have more kids through social programs and family-friendly laws, but the experience of Scandinavian countries indicates that those simply don't work...at least in terms of increasing the birth rate.

The current level of immigration is not unmanageable. The history of immigration in this country indicates that new immigrants tend to cluster in certain communities at first, where they feel more comfortable. But the second generation is almost completely assimilated into American culture.

It is really hard for me to buy into Dobbs being racist. But can't you be racist and still marry outside your own race? Maybe we should start a thread about this cause it is something I have thought about a lot.

She's obviously predominantly Spanish, not predominantly Amerindian, as most Latin American illegal immigrants are. I don't believe that you understand that "Hispanic" people can be of any race, since you also claimed that Alvaro Uribe wasn't white.

Hell, they're in favor of more open immigration than I am. They just want to limit it to people from Northern and Western European countries, of Northern and Western European heritage. (Except for all the Poles. Why are there so many Poles in Neo-Nazi groups? Seriously? Don't they read history?)

I know that some have called him that. That wasn't what I was disputing; I was instead disputing the claim that marriage to a "Hispanic" woman somehow invalidated those charges, since the woman in question was predominantly Spanish rather than predominantly Amerindian. :shrug:

Would a white supremacist marry someone that isnt his race? It doesnt matter where she can trace her descendants too, most people follow the one drop rule. If anything other than white blood is in your genes your not white. My skin color is about the same tone as hers but Im not classified as white, Im classified as Hispanic.
