Re: What They Told Us: Reviewing Last Week’s Key Polls

    prove?

    polls?

if you don't want to talk about baucus, perhaps you'd prefer to discuss cbo's doug elmendorf

or freshmen congressmen kratovil, perriello, polis, markey, minnick, kirkpatrick, bright...

maybe you'd like to look at bluedogs ross, cooper, boyd, melancon, taylor, shuler...

dem governors bredesen, ritter, gregoire, bill richardson...

senators dorgan, conrad, mccaskill, difi, lincoln, landrieu, nelson, nelson, pryor, feingold, lieberman...

harry reid, who said he couldn't vote for THAT mandate upon his state, nevada

because reid, you see, is trailing unknowns in the silver state by double digits

    IN THE POLLS---LOLOLOL!

maybe we could talk about stephanopoulos, david gregory, john king, bob schieffer, chris matthews, all of whom refused to say the dreaded word on any of sunday's talks

because all the things i've mentioned, my poll counting friend, signify a great deal more in washington than gallup, rasmussen and zogby combined

    51%---LOLOL!

51% for a president is pathetic

    sorry

He dropped from 70 to 51 percent in well under a year, and due mostly to only a handful of issues. Given this trend, one can assume it will dip even more over time. Espeically when one considers that all the major which he has yet to delve into are equally as unpopular as government-run health care. These include card check, amnestry, middle class tax increases (and tax increases they are, his definitions and terms aside), gay marriage, cap and trade, etc.

Even his strongest supporters must admit, even if only privately, that they are stunned about his abrupt fall and concerned for his future.

Your laughing at 51% when Bush had a 22% approval rating?

22 percent? When was this? I recall a typical average of about 32 during his last years. I dont recall anything below 27 or 28.

Besides, the point is still a valid one; to drop from 70 to 51 in 9 months when you have control of congress, the agenda, and were elected with the first majority since the late 80's (both of bush's and clinton's victories were pluralities)...is not a good sign.
