Laura Bush defends Obama school speech

OMG what has this country come to ?? Now even the former
Former First Lady Laura Bush is defending President Obama's decision to address the nation's school children. She even told the 'Communist News Network' CNN that it is "really important for everyone to respect the President of the United States."

"I think that there is a place for the President of the United States to talk to school children and encourage school children, and I think there are a lot of people that should do the same," she added.

Now some people will say that she has gone over to the "other side".

I don't know Laura and not being from Texas ( thank God) I don't know if she has ever had any "Communist or Socialist leanings"? secretly or before she met W. Does anyone who is opposed to Obama delivering that speech of his to our impresiionable little children know if Laura has a secret past that she should have disclosed before she was allowed to have lived in our White House ? Does anyone have any ides why LAURA would do something like this ? Do you agree that if she agrees with Obama that she may have
Communist or Socialist leanings"?

Is there anyone out there who agrees with Laura ?

Well she used to be a Democrat, and (like all the other women in the Bush family) she's pro-choice. Does that count as a communist or socialist leaning? :lol:

My mom knows her from her teaching days. She is a very nice lady actually and very intelligent.

Pro Choice must be Comu-Socialistic because that goes against the right-wing religiocans who belive that only they know what is good for a woman to do with her body.
 
I've always like Laura Bush, and I like her ever more now. Good for her for speaking her mind, without being influenced by party lines.

The biggest digs against her I recall was that she was a librarian. Not exactly

She's a class act. She even defended Michelle Obama about that "first time I'm proud to be an American" comment.

I never bought that Bush was really anti-abortion. There was a Salon interview way back in 2000 I think where Bush W. was interviewed and came out stating that abortion was a private matter between a woman and her doctor. Not to mention prior to running for president, H.W was pro-choice and all of the women in the family are pro-choice. Again, it appears that Bush hoodwinked the evanglicals into voting for him when he has little intention to follow through on his promises. Maybe I'll have to rethink my position he's an idiot...or maybe that Rove is smarter then he looks.

For her to argue that her choice to be a stay at home mother was somehow respectable is totally laughable. She's no more respectable than a Mafia wife. No amount of sanctimonious preaching from Karen Hughes will change the fact that Laura Bush was and still is a Republican whore.

OMG !! Did someone from Movealong.org call her a "book ho" ? The MOvers are almost as bad as the Palinites !! So I would not be surprised by anything they say.
