Media Monitor Jon, who holds it down daily on YouTube at NewsPoliticsNews, has the completely depressing clip, which shows an Israeli man holding forth on the virtues of Israel's health care system, which is "universal and compulsory, and is administered by a small number of organizations with funding from the government." I have no basis to judge its merits -- in 2000, the World Health Organization ranked it as the 28th best in the world. That said, let me sum up the countering argument, proferred by another town hall attendee: "Heil Hitler!"

It is more about Israeli's foreign behavior than anything else. And fiscal conservatives should dislike Israel after all the welfare the US has given the country. And patriots should dislike Israel for its constant spying and selling of classified weapons programs to the highest bidder.

I've not seen many liberals who "hate" Israel. Critical of aspects of Israel's behaviour, yeah. Outright hatred, no. Unfortunately, the two are quite often treated like the same thing on DP.

In what way? The guy was being interviewed, and someone shouted "Heil Hitler" when they heard him praising Israeli healthcare. Didn't look staged to me. It looked more like an ignorant asshat forgetting that those who disagree with you are still human beings with feelings.
