Dingell compares town hall mobs to the KKK

This debate is bringing out the worst of both sides. I'll be glad when its over

Really? Who have the town hall protestors beat up? Who have they called unamerican? Who have they called nazis?

While not town hall protesters, I've seen anti-health reform protestors calling Obama a modern day hitler and calling the Health Care plan Nazi Policy.

The bolded part has to be a joke. With an extreme left wing majority in washington I was all set to start supporting the GOP this term. Once the health care debate started up, however, the GOP turned into an angry, hyperbolic parody of itself. The republican party could have used this debate as a chance to present themselves as a viable alternative to the democrats. Instead they're screaming about liberal conspiracies to get their email address and death councils. I just can't take it seriously, no matter how hard I try

True that. I have seen that to a small small degree. no way from my observation has there been this pattern of crap flinging that certain elements of the left are engaged in.

I could be wrong, but I haven't seen it.

Hyperbole from both sides is unwelcome and should be condemned. But the righteous outcry from a conservative falls on deaf ears when he defends the same **** from his own side. You say it happens "little" but one call out from one senator is little as well. If frequency is your issue, the conservatives have far outdone themselves. If the actual content of the sentiment is your issue, then you should be just as pissed at conservatives who do this as well.

When you consider that PBO's right hand man on healthcare said,

"Strict youngest-first allocation directs scarce resources predominantly to infants. This approach seems incorrect. The death of a 20-year-old woman is intuitively worse than that of a 2-month-old girl, even though the baby has had less life. The 20-year-old has a much more developed personality than the infant, and has drawn upon the investment of others to begin as-yet-unfulfilled projects.... Adolescents have received substantial education and parental care, investments that will be wasted without a complete life. Infants, by contrast, have not yet received these investments.... It is terrible when an infant dies, but worse, most people think, when a three-year-old child dies, and worse still when an adolescent does."

Then, it's not hard to veiw Obamacare in the same light as Hitler's ideas of healthcare. They mirror each other in that respect.

Did you also compare Bush to Hitler since there were many similarities to Nazi security measures and the power vested to the government for the Patriot Act?

I'm going to guess not.

Why?

Because a very minor thing being similar like what you pointed at above and the Patriot Act does not warrant the amount of implication that comparing someone in politics to Hitler does.

Hey, you breath...Hitler breaths....You're like Hitler!

Not to mention these people were trying to convince me there wasn't much distance down the slippery slope from Obama's Health care to Gas Chambers.

Care to post period documentation that compares Nazi policy to the Patriot Act?
I would love to see it.

I already know the answere, but I want you find out for yourself.

I can show you plenty of period docs that mirror, to the detail, PBO's policies. You game?

Really? To the detail? No, I can't provide "to the detail" examples because I never made the claim, I said they were similar policies in their aims and goals and expansion of power.

But please, since YOU'VE made the claim that you can show evidence "To the detail" lets see it.

Since you can't prove what you're saying, you want to pick up your toys and go home? Is that it?

It's a stretch to suggest that Bush's idea to listen in on a few suspicious foreign phone calls comes anywhere close to what Hitler ever did. However, PBO's, "rat out your neighbor", program very closely resembles the Sturmbteilung arresting anyone who criticized Hitler in public.

We could also connect Kevin Bacon to Hitler....so we can finally build that time machine to go back and destroy all copies of Footloose before it was release? I am still having nightmares.

Oh bull****, Is Obama imprisoning and killing anyone for disagreeing with Healthcare? Your comparison is the one that is stretching when you try to say it is like Hitler's program was.

The tinfoil hat conspiracy nuts on the right are in full bloom it seems.

YouTube - Dingell compares town hall mobs to the KKK

Really, have these dirtbags sunk that low? Calling people against the health care mobs and racists?

Shame on them.

Wasn't there some Dingell supporter running around with a picture of Obama with a Hitler mustache pretending to be one of those in the mob to discredit the mob, only later to be seen passing out Dingell propaganda after the meeting? I thought I heard something like that.

I heard that as well. I just can't find it.

There is so much fodder for argument against PBO's policies I see no need for making stuff up...

It takes a ignorant low-life to pull the Hitler card and the same level of ignorance to pull the racist card (PBO!)

Dingell himself is a side-winding racist who cow tails to those ignorant enough to buy his spew and acts only to further line his own pockets. If not for ignorance he'd have no votes at all.

It one thing to be against healthcare....its another to act like a mob with mob mentality.

When you act like a mob....expect to be called a mob....that's all I'm sayin'

You supported the war protestors... Come now... come now......

that's all I am sayin.

Depends. I support the war protestors right to assemble peacefully. If they start disrupting meetings, churches, etc., then I support throwing them out.
(C'mon Rev....you are not a newbie....you should know me by now).

There is a difference.

I support the teabaggers right to rally and assemble even though I disagree with their message....but if they march into a town hall and try to shout down people who are there to engage in a structured and meaningful discussion then they deserve to be treated like any other mob.

Oh, sure; that's easy to say now.

Awesome, I will now refer to all war protestors as "traitors" in your honor, since you just called all town hall opposition to the health care plan teabaggers.

Sound fair?
