Woman Who Said She Was ‘Just A Mom’ At Town Hall Meeting Is Exposed As A Republican O

Re: Exposed: Republican Operative Lies

It is a very small, dangerous group of angry white christian neocons who are coming very close to committing the felony of sedition in our country, imo.

No one is even in the same galaxy as anything criminal.

Title 18, USC, § 2384. Seditious conspiracy
If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

No one discussing health care is advocating the overthrow of the US Government, let alone by force of arms. With no such advocacy on the table, your accusation of sedition is false, treacherous, slanderous, and downright silly.

Re: Exposed: Republican Operative Lies

It is a little hinky not to say it...

Its kind of like being a huge flaming hyper partisan liberal on a debate message board but labeling yourself as a "centrist" or a "moderate"

Perhaps, but the very next section of code sounds like a description of what the right is attempting through media and internet organization:

Whoever, with intent to cause the overthrow or destruction of any such government, prints, publishes, edits, issues, circulates, sells, distributes, or publicly displays any written or printed matter advocating, advising, or teaching the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying any government in the United States by force or violence, or attempts to do so...Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years...

The idea that people who are discussing their health care options and how their tax dollars should be spent should somehow be silenced for "sedition" is more scary than if these people were advocating sedition in reality.

Healthcare is going to be the hill on which we conduct loyalty tests to the U.S. constitution?

Stfu.

If these agitators were actually "discussing their health care options" there would be no problem. What they are doing is attempting to shut down the democratic process, and Americans tend to not like that.

It seems to me that it's the OBAMA GOVERNMENT that is attempting to silence this process because it isn't going the way they wanted it to go.

And frankly, that's un-American.

I thought being able to voice your opposition was part of the democratic process?

peaceful opposition is. Sedition is a felony.

Can you present the evidence of these seditious acts?

Where were you calling for sedition with Code Pink, ACORN, etc...?

Wait. I must've missed it. When have these people attempted to stop people from voting.

Are you saying that these people are doing Sedition? And if not, then what the hell does it have to do with this thread or are you just trying to derail it?

Re: Woman Who Said She Was ‘Just A Mom’ At Town Hall Meeting Is Exposed As A Republic

Some days it is painful being a liberal. We liberals have plenty of legitimate grievances. Let's please stick to them, and not make ourselves look foolish by talking about things like sedition and "shutting down the democratic process". The excessive hyperbole hurts us.

Re: Woman Who Said She Was ‘Just A Mom’ At Town Hall Meeting Is Exposed As A Republic

Speaking is by it's very nature a peaceful act. Jesus.
He was guilty of sedition, too, remember?

Henry Louis Gates Jr. was just speaking...;)

Indeed. There are some serious concerns, in my head, at least, about how that arrest was handled. I don't believe he should have been arrested, though he is, categorically, an idiot.

I think it is worse for you conservatives, at least here on this board. You outnumber us by a significant margin, so you just have more people who use hyperbole as debate.

Re: Woman Who Said She Was ‘Just A Mom’ At Town Hall Meeting Is Exposed As A Republic

The problem here is, that which has been plaguing America for a very long time, the Two Parties, which have good and bad points, have a fatal flaw we the people MUST stand up too.

What is that flaw? It's simple, both end up doing what's best for "the Party" over what's best for America.

The GOP did it, and got booted, the Dem's are in the process of doing it, and the people are going "WOAH Hang on a moment".

The difference I think, this time is that the Des did not anticipate such, an uprising from the people. And they've been caught off guard.

Are there agitators paid for to show up and make a scene at political events... always. Are all these people showing up an unruly mob of paid operatives? No.

The Dem's are making a serious, serious mistake trying to ignore the dissent against them, arrogance is not well tolerated by the American People, and right now, the Dem's are doing the "Let them eat cake" attitude, and it's gonna bite them in the ass.

The thread is not about sedition, it is about a Republican operative who identified herself as "just a mom".
Town hall meetings have been a fundamental right of the democratic process since the founding of this nation. The town meeting was even memorialized in a painting by Norman Rockwell. For people to crash such a meeting and refuse to allow discussion to take place is a travesty, and such people should be pushed out of the room. How can you disagree?

It's fairly even, and many of the "Conservatives" on here are Fiscally Conservative and socially moderate to liberal... so the "Conservatives" aren't really a solid block.

I have to disagree here. I don't agree with everything Obama is doing, but for the most part, I like his policies. I think that is the truth for most liberals, and that is who those we elected should be working most closely for,

I don't recall you raising a fuss...

Police used pepper spray to disperse crowds of protestors in Bingham Hall on Tuesday outside the room where former congressman Tom Tancredo was scheduled to speak on immigration but was forced to leave.

Campus police also discharged a Taser, sending sparks in an arc they said was meant to disperse the crowd, not to subdue an individual protestor.

Tancredo, a former Republican U.S. Representative from Colorado, a former presidential candidate and an outspoken critic of immigration, was brought to UNC by the new student organization Youth for Western Civilization.

I guess it's only okay to stop speakers from speaking when they are Conservatives...

After Tancredo entered the room, protesters kept him from speaking by shouting insults and holding a sign declaring “no dialogue with hate” in front of his face. Tancredo waited calmly while protestors held the sign and chanted.

Two protestors holding the sign in front of Tancredo were escorted into the hallway by police, where the Taser and pepper spray were used.

But are these policies really the best for America or the Democrats?

Entitlement programs favor the Left, because people, once accustomed to being on the Government teat, tend to get upset when people try to take those away, and are easily scared into "They'll take away your XXXX" tactics. So the left panders to the entitlement crowd. Wince that's what's the hubub is all about, let's be honest here...

Government run healthcare will be a huge boon to the DNC, and be very expensive to the Country...

If you say that doesn't play into the desire to make it happen for the Dem politicians, you're blind.
