Woman Who Said She Was ‘Just A Mom’ At Town Hall Meeting Is Exposed As A Republican O

Re: Woman Who Said She Was ‘Just A Mom’ At Town Hall Meeting Is Exposed As A Republic

Devil, run and hide from this now....

cut and run...

Your side is doing the exact thing you have been bitching about. lets see you not be hypocritical....

You know I can not tell if some are dense, do not read, or just do not care. Here, in this thread, we are talking about a woman that shamelessly lied her ass off. Other threads of discussed the tactics and strategies of not discussing healthcare reform, but rather to disrupt townhalls so that there is no discussion. What your smoking gun here is calling for grassroots organization..whoop de doo. What you have with that, I do not not. But I guess if you want to compare multi-billion dollar insurers hiring organizers with some liberal groups, go right ahead. Still does not change the simple facts that this woman is a shameless liar, and the right wing organizers were too stupid that they did not keep their mouths shut about their strategy beforehand.

Maybe you should actually read what people are bitching about for once, so as to not make a fool of yourself.

Except there's been ZERO proof that "multi-billion dollar insureres" are hiring organizers. There have been proof that PACS have been ORGANIZING people (still no proof that people have been paid...I stll think some have, I think its a small minority, and I think that its happening on both sides such as shown in Rev's above post) but how is a PAC on the right organizing something any different than a politicial group on teh left organizing something. Why is one "grassroots" and the others not?

As far as this woman, she didn't "lie her ass off" as it appears she is currently no longer part a part of the republican party, simply a registered republican, yes? Or are you advocating that everyone that has ever had anything to do with a political party should get up at a town hall and run down their resume before speaking?

Re: Woman Who Said She Was ‘Just A Mom’ At Town Hall Meeting Is Exposed As A Republic

So IOW you have no problem with a permanent Liberal Communist government here in the US, right?? Pathetic indeed!!!!

Psst, I know its hard to believe, but you do know that Liberal != communist anymore than Conservative = fascist.

 i love it. So we get days of this nonsens of accusing people of being plants and hired by the ins co's with no proof.

I show factually that it's happening on the other side with "proof" and you want to call others "dense" as if that helps you prove your speculation...

It's shameful partisan hackery, btw, where is my money?

Sorry man, I missed the the last warning on it. There may be one more mention of it somewhere. I am looking to find and edit it. It won't happen again. I have moved the conversation to the appropriate place.

& you accept that as true because she claims she hasn't paid her dues for a while? It's not possible that her dues are fully paid & current & that she simply lied to the NBC reporter to cover her tracks?
Personally, I'd like to see some proof of what she claimed. (not that simply being a deadbeat (by not paying your bills) means anything but you are untrustworthy in the first place.......but I wouldn't be surprised if the ...not paying her dues line was a lie as well);)

Oh quit being so disingenuous for god's sake. This woman lied. Have you not read anything? Obviously not, or you are selectively choosing in what to read. The woman actively worked to unseat this specific Congress member as a member of his Republican opponent's campaign. She has a long list of associations with the Republican party, as well as employment with the Republican party. So no, she is not as she says “not affiliated with any political party." That is complete and utter B.S. and you god damn well know it. This is the one thing that just grinds my gears, in the face of reality you still want to argue that this woman was just some average Jane?

And for the last time, speaking just for myself, I have not had issue if people in opposition to the bills at hand wish to organize. What I have an issue with is when a lobbying firm puts out a memo telling their activists to disrupt town halls so that no discussion can occur. The whole issue of people being paid off is something one person brought up, and you can take that up with them.

Was she being a bit dishonest? Yes. Was she lying? No. Do I condone her doing it? Absolutely not. Does her dishonesty equal what the story in the first post is trying to imply, that she's an "operative" for the Republican party? Absolutely not. There's no more evidence she was doing this on behalf of the Republican party, to be an "operative", then it is that she said what she did so as to try and make her point not seem overly biased.

Perhaps if the story didn't try to imply or make accusations of things that it doesn't prove, or if in your OP you had given some commentary to the contrary, there'd be a larger meeting of the minds. However when your starting point is overageration based on specious facts then I stop giving the benefit of the doubt that when people say "she lied" they're really meaning "She's being dishonest".

And for the last time, speaking just for myself, I have not had issue if people in opposition to the bills at hand wish to organize. Well, that's great for you. I'm not speaking just with you, but with those on the thread in general on the opposite side. Its hardly "one" perosn that's been mentioning the paid thing, with Devil, Formerroadie, and WillRockwell all being large proponents of the "they're paid off" theory.

Hey, that sounds like they are....umm....what's the word..."organized."

I wonder who's paying them? Do we know they're not being paid? Can we be certain they're not "plants" of Dear Leader and the Anti-Republican Party?

After all, paranoia should be an equal opportunity affliction.

Being organized is not the problem. It's HIDING the fact that your are an organized group & posing as just impartial concerned citizens (without an agenda) that makes it deception, deceitful & lying. Your guys understand what I'm saying.......You just will never admit that I am right!
If some of us on the left had organized, the difference we would stand up, like grown men & admit it. Our points would be nonetheless valid because we had organized. We have the guts to be truthful & enough confidence in the American voter that we don't need to TRICK him.
Again, it is the GOP's attempts at DECEPTION that are the key here & a large reason why you guys are out of power & will remain so.

Was she being a bit dishonest? Yes.

She's still a citizen and has a right to speak her mind on issues of public interest. This is a fundamental American right. What are you going to do, conduct litmus tests for free speech?

Re: Woman Who Said She Was ‘Just A Mom’ At Town Hall Meeting Is Exposed As A Republic

The fact that the woman lied doesn't bother you? You approve of stealth politics?

I don't care if she is an operative, I care that she misrepresented herself as 'just a mom'.

Heather Blish was the vice chair of the Republican Party of Kewaunee County until last year. She worked on the John Gard campaign, who ran unsuccessfully against Kagen last year. And it says she’s a part of the Republican Party for Kagen’s district, as well as the Republican Party of Wisconsin, and the Republican National Committee.

Small question for you:

Since you admit this:

Was she being a bit dishonest? Yes.

Is being a bit dishonest. ....Like being slightly or a bit pregnant?

It doesn't bother me. If she was going to lie, a better lie would be to say she was an expert in health care and budgeting.

"Just a mom" doesn't really say "listen to me!"

Why did she give up on the republican party? Maybe she doesn't want to be associated with the party anymore.

Nobody has a thing on this woman until they can prove she's a plant as they claim. Until then she's just a mom from down the street like she said.

She was a plant. I proved it by providing Heather Bliss own webpage. Her own words out herself.

When most of us (on our side) are proven wrong, we are mature & honest enough to admit it. The fact that the other side is torturing logic & English in order to try to obscure the obvious, in this case, is silly & insulting......but it's the best thing that could ever happen to the future of the Democratic party.;)

Ah, so you live in a world of absolutes devil? Such as "You're either with us or against us". Hey, random question, did you fully support America during the Iraq War or were you against the war and thus against America? You know, since its all or nothing for you.

I wouldn't exactly use a "bit" pregnant but you could use a definition for pregnant as a value based on how long they've been pregnant. However I don't think it fits with the words you're using for it anymore.

If I swing by the bar and have a short drink with a few guy friends after a long day at work and when I arrive home kind of late my GF goes "Wow you're home late, did you have a long day at worK" and I simply answered "yes" I'd be a bit dishonest because that wasn't the only reason I was late, but the reason I was late had little baring on the situation or the person I was asking and it was a long day at work.

If I get off work early and take the oppertunity to swing by my mistresses house for a little afternoon delight and then show up home late to my GF going "Wow, you're home late, did you go somewhere after work" and I go "No, I just got caught up in the office for a long time" I'd say I'm being very dishonest, because not only am I omiting information but I'm flat out lying about it and its something that would have a high probability of greatly affecting the person I'm responding to.

In this case whether or not she worked with Republicans a year ago should have little baring on the matter; her views are her views. I would say she was being far more dishonest and flat out lying if she had said the same thing she said but was CURRENTLY working for the republican party. But that's not what was the matter.

Re: Woman Who Said She Was ‘Just A Mom’ At Town Hall Meeting Is Exposed As A Republic

No it doesn't.

It states she was actively involved with the republican party last year. Not currently.

It states she's a registered republican. I'd wager most of the people at the town hall are registered with a party. That does not mean they're "affiliated" with a party in the way its commonly used...IE working FOR that party.

And NO WHERE does it state that the GOP asked her, paid her, convinced her, or told her to go to the thing.

Sorry, you're making assumptions and you know what they say about those who make assumptions.

OK...How about these 2 possibilities:

1.If it turns out that she had in fact paid her dues all along & is lying about not paying them, would that change your mind about her at all?
2 Suppose she had her husband right the dues checks. Would that make her "I haven't paid my dues.." statement an attempt at deception?
