Woman Who Said She Was ‘Just A Mom’ At Town Hall Meeting Is Exposed As A Republican O

Re: Exposed: Republican Operative Lies

Because she is the first GOP operative caught in a lie, trying to hide her GOP affiliation with I'm "Just a Mom" BS.
What lie? You overlook the fact that every fact articulated thus far supports her public statements.

  • She is a mother
  • She has not held an organizational position in the local Republican Party since February of 2008
  • Her last formal involvement with any Republican activity was working on John Gard's campaign (in her professional capacity as a new media consultant), and that ended in June of 2008.
  • She stated that she has not paid her dues in two years. That would mean she last paid dues in 2007--in which case her Republican membership would have expired at the beginning of 2008, exactly when her organizational involvements ceased.
None of the facts presented contradict anything Ms Blish has stated publicly so far as I am aware. She said she was at that town hall meeting of her own volition. Absolutely no evidence has been presented which contradicts that statement. The only conclusion that can be derived from the evidences presented is that Ms. Blish told the truth. The facts support her--they condemn you.

The fact that you wont admit the she was attempting to deceive only brings to mind an old axiom that says: "There are none so blind as those who will not see."

Why didn't she acknowledge her "Prior" GOP affiliation when asked who she was? (she could have said something like: :"listen....to be perfectly honest, I used to be an official of the GOP but no longer am."....She made no such statement & was obviously attempting deception.
You have a right to your opinion & you have a right to be wrong...which you are now exercising!

Edit: Suppose...for the sake of argument...that an investigation reveals that her dues have actually been paid to the GOP...Right up through this week? Would that matter one bit to you?

:doh

She said "I left the party."

Doesn't that acknowledge she was once IN the party? You know, in order to LEAVE the party?

GOP Playbook/page 127/para 6

If caught trying to defend a ridiculous position & losing your debate, barrage your opponent with a storm of meaningless words to confuse him or make him want to just end the discussion due to fatigue. Never admit you are wrong. Never admit any Republican is wrong. Never admit any Democrat is right.

I will take this non-answer as acknowledgment that my point succeeds.

It's all there in the OP. Not my fault if you didn't see it.

Re: Exposed: Republican Operative Lies

Oh, and formerroadie, Mr. Thanker -- remember what you were saying about childish caricatures of political opponents being "repugnant"?

Hmmm. Get why I found that howling-at-the-moon funny now?

Take it anyway that make you happy!:2wave:

I take it for what it is.

Oh, and by the way, Mr. "Moderate" -- should you be lecturing anyone about being deceptive about his/her views?

I feel a 5th grade personal attack coming here but......I'll bite anyway....What are you talking about????

Gosh, I dunno . . . maybe, being one of the most rabidly partisan people on the board, you might think better of calling yourself a "Moderate"? Even WillRockwell was eventually shamed into removing his "Centrist" tag.

That's an accurate category for me. I'm for the death penalty, in favor of personal gun ownership/concealed carry for personal protection, not big the bailouts (but both sides said we needed them) have voted for Repubs in the past (Senator Brooke & Governor Weld)

On the other hand: I favor a woman's right to choose, Have no problem with gay marriage (I'm strictly straight with 3 kids & 3 grandkids) am against state sponsored torture (ESPECIALLY by us)

Bottom line is I don't believe simple labels mean much of anything....so feel free to call me what you want.

That pretty much flies in the face of most of what you said in this thread, including your little "GOP Playbook" post.

Think what you will. I have plenty of complaints about Pelosi & the Dems so I consider myself more of an "Anti-Republican" than a loyal Dem)

Now that G W Bush is gone.......we're back to living in a free country.

Maybe you should bring them in sometime.

Childish idiocy, to say nothing of partisan hackery.

Re: Exposed: Republican Operative Lies

This is not the proper thread for them, but:

I have posted many things against Guithner (treasury sec), the dems failing to defund the wars...when they could have done just that, & not impeaching Bush & Cheney. If you did back through my posts you will find them. (although many may be on other forums I belong too)

Re: Exposed: Republican Operative Lies

nonsense. you have one woman who happens to be a republican... lets review actual evidence shall we:

Lets also not forget the union thugs too!
very illuminating

Re: Exposed: Republican Operative Lies

Here we have another thread full of red herrings from the usual suspects. The proof? An article from the bastion of journalistic integrity, "Think Progress". In said article, the proof they provide is her LinkedIn page? The page clearly shows that she was formerly tied with the Republican party. I was formerly a Republican, but I too left the party, as have tens of thousands of others. I guess if I show up at a town hall meeting questioning why on earth we would want to add government health care to the ever growing list of things that are drastically changing the American way of life, would I be an operative too?

No matter how this is spun by the left, the facts just get in the way of their ranting. "Think Progress" being taken as anything but liberal talking points and gross misrepresentation of fact is laughable. This is yet another non-story being drummed up by the legion of mindless group thinkers that can't see the complete and utter dishonesty of these "reports".

Re: Exposed: Republican Operative Lies

Since we are referring to the lie that Obama wants to kill old people, please copy & paste the wording in the bill that proves your insane & (very insulting to average American's intelligence) claim.

Let's take bloomberg...
Ruin Your Health With the Obama Stimulus Plan: Betsy McCaughey - Bloomberg.com
Elderly Hardest Hit

Daschle says health-care reform “will not be pain free.” Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them. That means the elderly will bear the brunt.

http://www.liberty.edu/media/9980/attachments/healthcare_overview_obama_072909.pdf

This pdf is a summary with a link to specific section numbers throughout the bill... it also links to the bill itself... but since it is over 1000 pages, it might take you a few days but here you go.

- Government will ration care through a government committee(sec 122-123)
- Will be provided to NON-US CITIZENS (sec152)
- The government will LIMIT AND REDUCE services for medicaid, affecting seniors, low income and the poor. (sec 1121)
- Government mandates establishment of outcome-based measures, re: triage (sec 1162)

And so on...

What is VERY insulting to MY intelligence (AND ANYONE ELSE that knows what they are talking about) is how you can accuse me of lying, claiming I'm mentally ill or racist without even understanding what you are supporting.

(this is why we just laugh at you & play with you on these debate forums. You don't have the courtesy to not insult our intelligence with your outrageous BS, & think maybe some of us are dumb enough to fall for it.

I wish I could make up stories like this... the sad part is, while I'm no better then any other 'repeater' of information, I like to take a moment before deciding on my position based on the best information I can come across... In this case, YOU, sir, are the one that I should be laughing at, if I wasn't feeling sorry that you don't even know what you're supporting.

Maybe though, in spite of this, you're just dumb enough to continue supporting it... or are you just scared that you might accidentally turn into a mentally ill racist republican secret agent out to ruin Obama cause your jealous that he's black and won the election. (Sorry, but on EVERY ISSUE that's what Obama supporters are reduced to)

Everything you guys do is based on DECEPTION, LIES & SCARE TACTICS.

Read the F&*^G BILL and have a clue of what your talking about before defending a position.

You already have the far right "loonies" with you...

Actually, before Obama everyone told me I was playing for your team because I was calling out Bush as a treasonous war criminal... and based on the facts Obama is a lying scumbag that's aiming to take over all of america and leave it as a tyrannical husk of the greatness this country at least once represented.

but...You can never hope to win another national general election with JUST them.

Dude... are you high?? I'm not in any general elections, so How could I hope to WIN if I'm not even in the race??

I am a political atheist, I call it like I see it, regardless of which puppet wears the crown.

(You guys just don't seem to get it)

No, sir, you just don't get it... this country is litterally getting to the verge of a revolution and you're still drinking the Obam-aid litterally oblivious as to what is going on around you at this very moment. This is completely bipartisan, and the lefts pitiful attempts to say that crowds of hundreds shouting down congressment of both stripes all across the country is due to 'republican agents' is failing and badly.

So, should I accept your apologies now, or should I wait a few days for you to read through the bill??

Quite right. If anyone shows up at such a town hall meeting parroting the GOP's current talking points & they were even "formerly" GOP officials, I think they have an obligation to make that known to show some honesty. (In the case of this woman claiming to have not paid her dues, all we have is her "word"....& I don't believe her word nor do I think not paying your dues shows anything except you are a deadbeat)

Why do you hold people to standards you yourself seem unwilling to hold for others?

Your post contains a bunch of verbal diarrhea, but not direct wording from any bill proposal backing up your insane claim that Obama wants to kill old people.

Here's my original challenge to you:

If anyone owes anyone an apology it is you to the forum members for insulting our intelligence.

I couldn't let this big lie go unchallenged.

This is far from a bipartisan movement. (It isn't even representative of the thinking of most, serious & patriotic Republicans..who need to regain control of their party)
What it is is the angry lashing out of very small group of far right, GOP "fringe" hate mongers who will never accept they lost the Presidency & were run out of Congress.
They are loud (& sell newspapers/TV advertising) so they are vastly overrepresented in the news in terms of their real numbers & influence.

It is a very small, dangerous group of angry white christian neocons who are coming very close to committing the felony of sedition in our country, imo.

Sedition? how is not wanting 1/7 of the economy taken over by your statist overlord, "sedition in our country"?

this is total partisan hackery...:2wave:

Re: Woman Who Said She Was ‘Just A Mom’ At Town Hall Meeting Is Exposed As A Republic

Figured I'd ad this to help clarify my above post:

From:[ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sedition]Sedition - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] (with my emphasis added)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search

This is about the law term. For other uses see Sedition (disambiguation)

Sedition is a term of law which refers to overt conduct, such as speech and organization, that is deemed by the legal authority as tending toward insurrection against the established order. Sedition often includes subversion of a constitution and incitement of discontent (or resistance) to lawful authority. Sedition may include any commotion, though not aimed at direct and open violence against the laws. Seditious words in writing are seditious libel. A seditionist is one who engages in or promotes the interests of sedition.

Typically, sedition is considered a subversive act, and the overt acts that may be prosecutable under sedition laws vary from one legal code to another. Where the history of these legal codes has been traced, there is also a record of the change in the definition of the elements constituting sedition at certain points in history. This overview has served to develop a sociological definition of sedition as well, within the study of state persecution.

The difference between sedition and treason consists primarily in the subjective ultimate object of the violation to the public peace. Sedition does not consist of levying war against a government nor of adhering to its enemies, giving enemies aid, and giving enemies comfort. Nor does it consist, in most representative democracies, of peaceful protest against a government, nor of attempting to change the government by democratic means (such as direct democracy or constitutional convention).

Sedition is the stirring up of rebellion against the government in power. Treason is the violation of allegiance to one's sovereign or state, giving aid to enemies, or levying war against one's state. Sedition is encouraging one's fellow citizens to rebel against their state, whereas treason is actually betraying one's country by aiding and abetting another state. Sedition laws somewhat equate to terrorism and public order laws.

Freedom of speech is one of our most precious rights, but not ALL speech is protected. As the above link shows, some speech can be illegal so........just a friendly warning to all forum members:
Be aware that there are law against sedition, which is a federal crime & requires nothing more than speech, so...Let's use our heads.
