After 6 Months, More View Obama's Presidency as a 'Failure' Than Bush's

    After 6 Months, More View Obama's Presidency as a 'Failure' ThanBush's - Real Clear Politics – TIME.com

A rather surprising finding from the newly released CNN poll. Question three on the national survey of 1,136 adults (which includes an oversample of African-Americans) asks, "Do you consider the first six months of the Obama administration to be a success or a failure?"

Thirty-seven percent (37%) said they believe the Obama administration is a "failure," while 51% consider it a "success" and 11% say it's still "too soon to tell."

An identical question was asked of the Bush administration in an August 2001 CNN/Gallup/USA Today survey. At the time, 56% said the Bush administration was a "success" while only 32% considered it a "failure."

at CNN putting this in thier "blog" section..... I guess they did not get the results they wanted....

Has the shine come off of Obama? Are people realizing that he indeed is human, perhaps an incompetant one at that?

Polls mean little in the big picture, but all these small cracks in the damn, from this, his approval rating tanking, and people rising up in opposition to his agenda tend to indicate that yes indeed he may be losing badly.

I'm surprised that more people didn't vote that it's too early to tell.

I think our economy was solid in the first six months of 2001, so I am not surprised that Bush's presidency was rated as more of a success than Obama's.

You do not judge after 6 months. Give it a reasonable amount of time

Bush hadn't royally screwed up after 6 months. He got worse as he went. After 6 years we'll get an actual comparison. I'm not saying Obama will be better or worse, but the 6 month comparison is silly. Bush inherited a totally different country, then screwed it all up. Obama got the already broken version.
Wow. Am I awesome or what?

So we should give Dear Leader a pass because he wins the race to the bottom?

Both inherited recessions and financial scandal. Both championed reforms of health care. Both campaigned and pledged to be bipartisan.

Dear Leader accomplished in 6 months what took Bush 6 years. Only the lunatic liberal left would attempt to argue accelerated failure as progress.

Pass for what? I have no idea what I'm giving him a pass for.

Which recession and financial scandal was worse? Thanks.

Speaking of that, let's keep in mind Obama only won because Bush was so terrible. So you can thank Bush for Obama. He's the gift that keeps giving.
