TheHill.com - Dem memo plots message war on insurers

Apparently, Pelosi's pandering to the peanut gallery is part of the plan:

House Democratic leaders have developed a coordinated strategy for attacking insurance companies to ward off attacks from opponents of their health care overhaul during the August break, according to a strategy memo obtained by The Hill.

“Our message is simple. It is now being echoed by the White House,” said the memo sent to all Democratic members. “And it counters the Republican ‘government takeover’ message.”
Granted, they need a comeback message if they want to pass their health care non-reform. However, if this is their definition of "simple" they are in big trouble:
The message in the memo, though, won't fit on a bumper sticker:

“Remove the insurance companies from between you and your doctor— capping what they can force you to pay in out of pocket expenses, co-pays and deductibles, and giving you the peace of mind you will be covered for the care you need, if get sick, or if you change or lose your job.”
With a policy wonk statement like that, they are not going to win the message war.

Remember folks, its inconcievable and absolutely insulting for Politicians to talk about morals or evil or anything of the like...unless they're democrats and doing it towards things democrats don't like, then its spot on.

Thats why the whole "for profit" healthcare system makes absolutely ZERO sense.
What, you think that the government isn't going to deny coverage? Are you really that naive?

Look, money talks and bull**** walks. That's the story, no matter where you go. Welcome to the real world.

Actually I agree with the part about politicians not talking about morality or immorality. It is pathetic when they do this with both parties.

How is Queen Nancy's fact-challenged barbs at the health insurance industry helpful? If they are as influential as a good many folk assert, pissing them off by calling them "immoral" strikes me as a good way to incent them to campaign even harder against the public option.
I guess she doesn't let morality get in the way of funding her campaign. She accepted $120,500 from the insurance industry for the last Congressional election.

And yet strangely it works better than the socialist system.
