Conrad: 'There are not the votes' for Dems to go it alone on health care - POLITICO Live - POLITICO.com
Sen. Kent Conrad (D-N.D.) said Democrats cannot go it alone on health care reform because the numbers aren’t there – despite the party's 60-vote majority in the Senate.

"There are not the votes for Democrats to do this just on our side of the aisle," Conrad said on ABC’s “This Week.”
Oops! Seems like the Affordable Health Choices Act is not the big American Mandate Dear Leader and Queen Nancy claimed it was. Even those in their own party doubt its merits.

(It's too much to hope that those opposing the Affordable Health Choices Act will get behind HR2520/S1099: The Patients' Choice Act, and make a real change in health insurance and health care in this country.;))
