Ohio State offers Inauguration Day ‘safe space’

I'm sure that segregationists and the nativists of the No Nothing Party were feeding themselves the exact same line of BS when they entered their dotage.

I am sure you will never to do anything that will change their opinions some of which are just common sense, not common nism.

Aw! Are you trying to make a pun?!
Your set-up needs some work.

But I'll give you a virtual participation trophy!

It's always been trendy for those on the down-slope of life to criticize the kids, so you are participating in a long tradition.
I hope it makes you feel better about your inevitable march toward irrelevancy to imagine them being "kicked in the teeth".

These guys need some mental toughness instead they get mental coddling.
life doesn't go the way you want it and in real life there is no such thing as safe zones.

Ok--- so WHY do some millenials need the use of "safe spaces" to handle the incoming Trump Admin? I mean, it's not as if there have never been college kids whose candidate lost the presidential election.

Dear Millenials.

We know you are struggling. We know you are sad. We know you are depressed. We know you miss Obama already.

Just something to chew on. Over the last 8 years, the Obama administration doubled the entire nations history of debt. In just 8 years, he dumped more debt on YOU than every president COMBINED since we became a country. And what exactly do you have to show for it? Did he rebuild the nations infrastructure? No. Did he absolve your student loan debts? No. Did he create middle to upper income level jobs? No. Did he build a robust economy with sustainable growth? No. Did he at least give you 'affordable' health care? No. Did he help the inner cities? No. Did he strengthen or rebuild our military? No. Did he at least create a strong foreign policy? No.

He spent 8 years...doing...what exactly besides writing checks that YOU will end up having to cover?

And you love him. You are sad to see him go.

Thats...tragic.

You put a lot of effort into that fecal load...
But you are conveniently omitting the GOP Congress who negotiated and approved the federal budgets of the last six years.
I think that works against your central partisan argument.

Sure. Have at it.

Excuse me if I don't participate in this circle jerk of condemnation for our spirited youth.
At least they have some hobbies that don't involve video screens!

I guess there shouldn't be a surprise that the segregationists and the so called "safe spaces" fly under the same banner. They have a documented history of that sort reaction.

yes not being able to handle a simple thing as an election should get some manner of condemnation.
they will not be able to handle the stress of a job and their employer is not going to give them a safe space with puppy dogs
and play doh.

they will simply say your dismissed.

They are weaklings who will find it difficult to take care of themselves much less others

Ultimately, any of them will be making decisions for their "inconvenient" parents/elders.

If they are out there protesting... then they are violent idiots and terrorists. If they remain on campus to process their reactions to world events, then they are "weaklings" and "snowflakes". No wonder the kids try to get as far away from your political brand as possible.

The notion that an election's results (or a speaker on campus with whom you disagree or reading a chalked in "Go, Trump!" on the sidewalk) are so traumatic that a "safe space" is required is silly. Maybe the McGovern-era college students were made of sterner stuff?

But he was a liberal, and he was black. ...good 'nuff.

do you know the difference between protesting and lighting garbage cans on fire and busting out store windows?
please do tell us. this should be interesting if you can be honest for 5 seconds.

Needing so called safe spaces is being mentally under developed that you can't handle real world situations.

there are people that do need safe spaces because the level of violence they encounter puts their life at risk.

however giving them play doh and puppies because the person they wanted to win didn't is nothing more than frankly mental abuse.

this you can never lose mentality is frankly disastrous to a person.
my kids get upset when they don't win. I tell them sometimes you win sometimes you lose.
that is a part of life and you have to deal with it.

I'm not going to waste much time responding to another "The Kids Aren't Alrite" screed.
Just have to ask you... what percentage of posters are you claiming to have crossed the line into vandalism and violence?

Why are right-wingers so threatened by young people getting in a room together and talking about things openly?

Ultimately, any of them will be making decisions for their "inconvenient" parents/elders.

That is not a comforting thought

But the elders bear some of the responsibility for how their screwed up kids turned out

Many millennials are babies. They are the shining example for all the world to see on how to not raise your children. When your child grows up and demands things like tampons for free there is a good chance you failed. Tampons on average will cost a woman less than two grand over the course of her lifetime and yet somehow they are so goddamn expensive that women need them for free. How is the argument for free tampons at college supposed to be convincing?

Still, the baby boomers have always been babies and idiots to a massive scale which is no doubt a large reason their kids are so ****ed up. It seems as if each generation for more than a century now has gotten worse in that regard.

I didn't realize that free tampons were a significant factor regarding this issue.
I don't have anything to say on that particular subject.

thanks for proving that you can't be honest for 5 seconds.

there is a difference between protesting and busting and destroying private property the fact that you can't tell us this difference
is simply amazing.

It's not, but it is a great example to show how millennials are ****ed up. We are talking about something that will cost a woman on average about $1,700 over the course of a 38 year period and yet people want them free. Pathetic.

How would you feel about public facilities that didn't offer toilet paper?

Answer the question, since you are basing your entire argument on an obvious misconception...

What percentage of posters are you claiming to have crossed the line into vandalism and violence?
