After being around political boards for a long time, I have debated with lefties in a much uglier way than I ever would in person. Here on the internet, we can get much uglier with each other, kinda like we can get ugly with other motorists who we never really see face to face. Anyway, my experience with internet lefties has left me with a deep dislike for lefties in general, but occasionally, I see a lefty who stands out in the crowd. Your post shows me that while you may be my political opponent, you are not married to the lefty collective. You have been able to identify a lefty in the wrong, and you did it in such a way that it is not assumed that you are suddenly a righty for doing so. I still see you as a lefty, but I will know when I see your posts in the future that you are able to separate yourself from partisanship. My compliments to you, I wish there were more lefties who can do what you were able to do.

I appreciate that. I don't always live up to that ideal, but doing so is certainly my goal.
 
1. I don't think the guy was attacking any kids here. He was attacking Sessions for what he claimed was using his grandkid as a prop, acting as though Sessions had just kidnapped the girl in order to bring her to the hearing. I don't agree with the guys argument but I don't see how anyone can say that he was attacking the kid.

2. This is just some douche from MTV? I think the guy said something stupid, but I find it hard to be mad at some random Mtv personality I've never heard of and don't care about.

3. Best practice in politics is to just act like the kids aren't there unless praising said person for raising good kids. But this is some douche from MTV. He mentioned the kids. I can't believe that anyones really upset about it.

In my opinion, this has merit. I don't think that the host was attacking the children either. While it was a stupid mistake for him to make, I believe that his true intentions were to attack his political opponent any way he could. His comments appear more like a mistake to me than an attack on Asians or children.

I never heard of the guy either. Politics are nasty though, and the stupid comments are worth more as leverage in a political war. His comments are a jackpot when used against the left, but I know that the comments are blown out of context and proportion. I posted the thread here as recreational warfare against my own political opponents.

I agree. Kids do not deserve to be a part of politics, but we have to remember that politics are not related to what is moral or right. Since politics are something as ugly as they are, kids will always be used to make the other side look bad.

give it a rest. What trump said 20 years ago in general terms no way justifies specific attacks on individuals who were not part of what Trump said. I realize the butt hurt is still throbbing with the Hillary faithful who assumed she had done all that was needed to "win" or steal the election and are now in a world of ache after she lost

Ya know... The reason why you are so startled by my post, is that I just posted the truth about politics that lefties never want to have exposed. The ugliness of politics, and the falseness of what is presented on the surface vs how things really are. The left cannot exist if this surface falseness is removed.

I just noticed that you made bold the part where I stated that I posted this thread here as recreational political warfare. Anybody who dabbles on political forums really needs to understand two things... First, anybody posting on any political forum needs to understand that these sites are nothing more than recreation. Second, there are two sides to our political landscape, and the two sides are in fact at war. When lefties and righties post on political forum sites, the only possible thing that they can be doing is recreational political warfare.
