The Euro is not a perk for the present generation of Europeans.

    Hardly.

A picture from back when Paris was actually liberated---from the forces of a far right regime.

Well, the French had voted against the EU Constitution in a referendum. So the Lisbon treaty signed it into law under a different name. That was rather an illegitimate takeover so that remanding it can be viewed as a liberation. What the EU elite did back then was rather iffy and would have been illegal had there been rule of law. It is in this so flawed act of conception and similar disregard of members' constitutions that a large part the present problems lie.

Iffy or not, the idea that France is being occupied or oppressed and therefore needs to be "liberated" is completely off the wall.

Well a lot of the pro-Brexit politicians admitted openly admitted it and most of their promises were lies.

Whatever "France" is. But its population did lose its sovereignty. There is no doubt there.

Seeing as France no longer has its empire.....the state of France.

Oh really? Are the mighty Dutch and Belgian armies going to come marching over the border if France decides it doesn't want to do what the EU wants?

You needn't have an army to dominate a population, if such domination is in the elite's interest.

I don't even see why they'd want to keep the Euro. One of the hallmarks of sovereignty is currency. They would have far more control of the Franc than the Euro.
You know the time is right to take control, we gotta take offense against the status quo
