Just released, an interesting potential problem has occurred.

More than 50 Electoral College members who voted for Donald Trump were ineligible to serve as presidential electors because they did not live in the congressional district they represented or they held elective office in states legally barring dual officeholders.That stunning finding is among the conclusions of an extensive 1,000-plus page legal briefing prepared by a bipartisan nationwide legal team for members of Congress who are being urged to object to certifying the 2016 Electoral College results on Friday.

I wonder if this is typical of most elections. This is just the latest people upset over these election results grasping at straws in hopes of somehow installing Clinton over the will of the nation.

Or is this a first with Trump and deserves an in depth investigation.

My gut is leaning to sore losers grasping based on previous behavior of some Clinton supporters

Then this should have been determined before the vote was ever taken if indeed that is the LAW and people should go to jail. I hope Nancy Pelosi's daughter is one of them . . .

Not another self-centered psychotic effort to overturn the legitimate election of a President! This from the same people who were appalled that anyone would refuse to accept the results of the election...when they thought THEIR candidate was going to win?

First it was demands to ignore the Electoral College and go with the "Popular vote." Then it was demands to eliminate the Electoral College completely. Then it was claims of actual voter fraud in States Trump won. Then it was efforts at recounts because of "possible" Russian hacking of the voting process. Then it was efforts to suborn "unfaithful" electors to vote anyone but Trump. Then it was claims that Russian hacking influenced voters making the whole process illegitimate. Then a letter from three psychologists alleged Trump was unfit for office without a mental exam. Now, it's "50 Trump elector's are not legitimate." :doh

I wonder...has anyone ever examined these "Elector legitimacy problems" in prior elections? Would we find similar "errors" in say...Obama's electoral college vote(s)?

I wish people would just STOP! It is this childish over-reaction; this irrational emotion-base B/S that is truly undermining our entire system.

It's bad enough they keep acting like spoiled children. I fear for the continuation of our society if any of this crap succeeds.

Would those elite be Trump's cabinet picks, or some other elites? And I noticed you capitalized elites, you should probably get that checked out. Maybe we need to develop categories for all these "elites", just so we can all tell them apart. I was just using net worth over a billion dollars to identify them. Seems pretty elite to me.

Elites are only ELITE if they are Democrats. If they are Republicans, then they are self-made men who succeeded against all odds. Usually that means they overcame the obstacles to success put up by the ELITES.

This rule applies even when those self-made men were born rich :)

What if the legal objections are correct and fifty Trump electors are illegal?

Anyone have a working link to the brief to be able to review it myself, because the one in the OP's link isn't working for me. And based on the WND nature of "atlernet", I'm not apt to trust they reviewed it in any kind of neutral or equitable fashion.

Apparently voter fraud only matters when Democrats vote in the wrong precinct or fail to dot every i and cross every t. When Republicans do it, it's just a technicality that the Left is blowing out of proportion ;)
