Joe Biden hints at 2020 presidential run: 'Fate has a strange way of intervening'

If we make it through these four years in one piece, the left will need someone to rally around because there WILL BE discontent at Trumps rule, there's no doubt about it if his presidency is anything like his campaign was and for those laughing at Democrats for even considering it, be warned, Biden may have the fighting style rhetoric necessary to rally the base and match Trumps rambunctious style.

But he will be a bit old for it maybe, I dunno, we'll see.

Joe Biden is possibly the only person that can equal Trump on saying real stupid crap in off the cuff remarks. It would have been interesting watching these two try and out stupid remark each other.

Debate night:
Biden; "Shut up you fat Orange turd or I'll walk over there and knock your lights out!"

Trump; "Bring it Baldy I'll slap the hair plugs out your scalp and make you limp back"

Moderator; "That ends our domestic portion now onto global security"

Good point-the difference is Trump is smart. Biden's pretty lame intellectually. he was in the bottom fifth of his class in College and as a Law professor i knew (who taught at syracuse right after his USSC clerkship before getting tenure at a big name law school) noted Biden finished "69th in a class of 66" at Syracuse Law (which wasn't exactly NYU or Cornell, Columbia or Fordham when it came to major league law schools in NY)

He got a degree for participation?

The Dems gonna run a felon?
They just ran an alleged felon and came up short so they're probably "think tanking" the idea right now that maybe they lost because they failed to go all in.

Blaggo would represent "all in".

The crayons give him away?

LOL, probably!. Biden has spent more than 40 years in government. Even a tape worm-with that experience, can start faking expertise and talk"government". Its why lots of sheeple claimed Biden was smarter than Palin.

You may want to check the tally of Mayors, Governors, Senators and Congressman and now President that are the GOP.

Last time GOP had full control...Obama was elected in a landslide. History repeats itself.

The Dems took the Senate in 2006. So I take it that was in some dream you had because the GOP certainly didn't have full control in 2008

Facts-its what's for dinner!

Such a sad comment about US politics, after a brutally presidential election. The voters get to choose from another old white guy 3 generations back.

That he would say this reveals how dire things are... bench is empty, party decimated.

In my opinion Mr. Biden was doomed the second he acquiesced and went along with the administration and the party's way of dealing with his predilection for public gaffes. Which was to hide him away starting what? Two to two and half maybe almost three years ago? While Joe is a walking talking gaffe machine, he also gets a worse rap than he deserves. He is equally just as eloquent or effective at communicating on a very common sense level too. When he let them sideline him, I think he signaled to the party and more importantly the bosses of the party (Hill/Bill) that he would go along with them. Ergo get out of the way and let Hillary have the throne because it was her turn. I also suspect that the gravity of the personal issues he was dealing with helped play a role in his decision making process.

Where the irony comes into play is Mrs. Clinton turned out to be the far more self destructive gaffe machine throughout the election. That coupled with her immense negatives in her perception by the public at large and her arrogance lead her party to overlook a far more appealing candidate that was already serving in the White House and was far better liked by potential voters. I'd bet Joe is done with regard to residency as 1600 Pennsylvania avenue due to his age alone, but who knows? Should Trump turn out to be a disaster there might yet be one last chance for Joe to take a crack the office.

He could run while endorsing depends or viagra or both. He's a joke and he'd be a bad one in 2020. Its fun to see the "party of progress" full of retreads. Biden talking about running for president and the way past her prime time Mafia princess being re-elected as Dem leader after 8 years of decline

"Hi, this Joe Biden for Liberal-Alert. On those days when the Secret Service isn't around to keep me safe and sound, I depend on my Liberal-Alert to get help. Just a simple push of a button and I've got 300,000 young, disaffected liberals rioting in the streets. It doesn't help me much, but at least I've got a source of cheap entertainment to watch while I'm waiting for the Secret Service officer to pick me up off the floor again."

You really don't believe that he'd even consider at at 78 do 'ya?

Biden could have actually beaten Trump in 2016. Pretty easily in fact.

... and I'll bet that's based on the same logic that came to the conclusion that Clinton would beat Trump by a landslide. Time to step up the learning curve....

I cannot stand biden politically but you gotta feel for the man. As a younger man, his wife and his daughter were violently killed in a horrific traffic accident and then his son-by all accounts a brave and honorable and successful man, dies of brain cancer. That sort of double body blows would have destroyed a lot of men.

Does that mean that a person should be elected to office NOT on his ability to govern well, but rather on the number of tragedies he has experienced in his life?

of course not, I'd never vote for him. I am just given the guy some credit to be able to get through two soul withering tragedies. Lots of people would be drug addicts, boozers or have eaten a gun with that hanging over them

I know many humans who have experienced tragedies equal to Biden's, and none of them have gone on to become junkies or committed suicide. In that regard, Biden is an ordinary man, nothing exceptional.

He has a great smile with those pearly whites, but he is just as corrupt as his esteemed colleagues inside the Beltway.

You personally know many people who had a wife and child killed and then another child die of cancer? damn, stay away from me, you sound like bad luck
