Liberal != Democrat

I read the story and from what I could tell the revolving door into/out of Washington is working just fine (for those who use it). This seems to be another example of lobbying power at the expense of the entire middle class. I actually am just as disgusted (I'm guessing) as you are at those who claim to be liberal and then defend the actions of Democrats with the reasoning "but the Republicans do it too". If we as a populace stopped focusing on hating each other for inconsequential **** and focusing on how much BOTH parties are taking advantage of the vast majority of this country, then maybe we could actually get somewhere.

As long as the act of assigning blame to your political opponents is given more importance than problem solving, this will continue to be the state of things for the foreseeable future.

The other thread addresses the moral aspect. This thread deals with the potential political aspect, though I think it only serves to prove that the two major parties more alike than they are different.

Bottom line: Everybody on all sides is in it for the money.

This what is wrong the elites who write the laws, tax us, fly private jets over us, go to same snazzy cocktail parties and marry each other.

Watch. Dad will call daughter, she will drop the price to make Hillary look good, and get a fat government contract for her trouble. That s why she is on the board in the first place - her daddy has "juice".

You aren't lying there. That's why I have never really understood the thought process of defending your political party while attacking the other. In fact, I am more likely to scrutinize the Democrats than I am the Republicans. I still very much lean left, but it's silly to involve myself in the party politics of the Republican Party...they just don't come close to representing my beliefs. The Democrats DO, however come closer to representing my beliefs. Unfortunately, they do so in a piss poor way. Instead of blaming Republicans though, I choose to focus my energy on pointing how terrible the party is that IS supposedly looking out for my best interests. It's no wonder that most people on here find those on the other side of the aisle repugnant. Most just blindly follow party politics. In much the same way that Trump supporters will do mental gymnastics to explain what Donald meant, in a way that fits their paradigm, those on the left support the corruption and do the same mental gymnastics to show that they aren't as bad as the other side doing the exact same thing.

It's not even a politician. It's a relative of a politician. However, if there were obvious lines that can be drawn between that ladies dad pushing out beneficial policies on behalf of his daughters drug or job... That would be something of note.

Trump is way down on my list and I personally think he is a dick. The big freakin difference, is the supporters of Trump support him to try to (right or wrong) CHANGE the systemic corruption in Washington. Dems/Libs are voting for proven corruption x10.

When the Government goes from protecting the People from the corrupt, to protecting the corrupt from the People, your Nation is doomed.
