The breakout media star of 2016 is, inarguably, Donald Trump, who has masterfully—and horrifyingly—demonstrated an aptitude for manipulating the news cycle, gaining billions of dollars worth of free airtime, and dominating coverage on every screen. Now, several people around him are looking for a way to leverage his supporters into a new media platform and cable channel.

Pretty much confirms to me that Trump is not looking to win an election, but to use his presidential run as a springboard for another reality TV show. Trump has gone so far as to contact NBC, floating an idea that, if he actually won, he could continue his show "The Apprentice" from inside the White House itself.

Should Trump win the election, is a new era of politics about to begin? Would Trump, in his show, tell the Secretary of State "You're fired" on national TV? Would disputes in Congress be settled on episodes of the Jerry Springer show? Would negotiations with foreign nations be done on episodes of "The Price is Right"? And, finally, would Trump's eventual impeachment trial be presided over by Judge Judy?

Yup, I started considering this possibility as well, after he hired Steve Bannon to run his campaign (and is being advised by Roger Ailes as well).

Way to many barriers to entry the least of which is cost and trump can't afford it. Cable companies are cutting channels not adding them. Might be able to do something like Glenn Beck did with the Blaze............

If Hillary wins we will see nothing, and will be told what they think we should know. I'd rather have Trump.

Of course it's his endgame, or one of them anyway. His new partnerships with Bannon and Ailes are all part of what's going on.

Only an idiot would want to conduct a reality TV show from the Oval Office. How anyone thinks that idiot is a serious candidate is simply a mystery. Yeah, that's a great idea Donald. Let's have the cameras in there when you're going over secrets with your Joint Chief of Staff and National Security Advisor. Hell, if it's good enough for the Duggars to have cameras follow them around all day, it's good enough for you.

So basically, Trump might take the worst of Fox "News" and Infowars and combine them into one network?

But He will win. I mean, cable companies are great, just great. And nobody knows them like He does.

Is this from more unnamed sources?

It's become clear that he's trying to capitalize on his presidential bid, and the launching of a media giant is a prime scheme to that end. Also, the departure of Fox News' godfather and the damage he caused the brand in addition to the imminent retirement of Bill O'Reilly leave the fate of Fox News precarious. We already know that Ailes is a close friend to Trump and that he's helping his campaign; God knows what the two are cooking in the Mar-a-Lago.

I would PAY to see Loretta Lynch and Comey called to the mat and be told YOU"RE FIRED!

Sure, let's have "Reality Show Government" with Donald Trump, your host. It would be a hoot.

I do not see it any different than the clown show we have right now.

Besides, rule of law in this country died on July 5th, 2016 anyway.

Welcome to how they do things in Central and South America. Now we are just like that.

a) The DOJ is a political arm of the powers that be,

b) The FBI investigates only who the powers that be tell them to investigate,

c) The FBI comes to the conclusions whatever the powers that be tell them to conclude,

d) The media is run by the powers that be,

e) and you have to pay the powers that be CA$H if you need anything done.
