difference being that most katrina victims voted for bush II
i figure obama doesn't owe them much of anything
So Bush is held to a different standard. Hmm.
I'm no fan of Louisiana. However, your response is downright bizarre.
There was a massive flood, in parts of Louisiana that have never flooded before.
While LA has a well-earned reputation for corruption, the local and state response seems to be pretty much on the ball.
Plenty of states utilize more federal resources than they pay in federal taxes. And yes, Louisiana certainly does more than vacuum up tax dollars.
And of course, we're talking about tens of thousands of Americans here. Nice to see a little compassion from you about this one.
Why isn't the media thrashing Obama? Could it have something to do with Obama being democrat? Louisiana is a metaphor for "It's easy to be a democrat president"...
Inane partisan rheotric aside...it took FEMA 3 days to get on the ground in New Orleans under the Bush administration. It took FEMA over 30 days to get on the ground in South Carolina after Hurricane Andrew during the Clinton administration. FEMA was already on the ground in Alabama and Mississippi directly after the Katrina aftermath. The flooding in New Orleans was due more to the levy failures than the direct impact of the storm and once the decision was made by state and local officials to NOT order a complete evacuation of the city, what exactly was FEMA to do when they have no authority to override the decisions of the local and state officials AND are required by law to wait until requested BY state officials. What WERE they supposed to do?/sigh
If Bush hadn't appointed a horse show judge to run FEMA (Heckuva Job), his vacation might have been more understood. FEMA WORKS under Obama. It didn't under Bush. That's the issue. It has always been the issue.
GOT TO HELL ,you are one sorry excuse for a human.Louisiana can go to hell. Maybe this is mother nature's way of saying the state shouldn't exist. It's a state that does nothing but suck up tax dollars. The bureaucrats running the state are obviously incompetent and the people who live there keep reelecting them so **** them all.

Isnt it possible that MAYBE...JUST MAYBE...the critiques leveled will ALWAYS be leveled unfavorably in a partisan manner, regardless of reality?

Try again. This time use English and articulate your thoughts more clearly. For example...lets start with the 40,000 people that lost everything and why you think that is being missed. Lets try a little reason and little less hate fueled emotion.
Alllllllllllllllllllllrighty then. We can just chalk that up to lack of reason and rational thought fueled by emotional pain. Good luck...and good thoughts for you.SCREW YOU,these people have lost every thing lets kiss my *** ,hate are you kidding, got to hell man.
GOD help the people of LOUISIANA.

Be honest. What was 'inept' about FEMAs response? At what point were they allowed to overrule and override Governor Blanco? At what point were they able to seize the assets of the state? At what point where they supposed to undo the dismal lack of emergency response demonstrated by the city and state? How did their response (immediate and on the ground response in Alabama, Mississippi, and parts of Louisiana and Texas and on the ground response in NOLA after day 4 AND after the military quelled the threat to civilian relief efforts caused by people in the city shooting at them) compare to say the Clinton Adminstrations FEMA response in Florida following Andrew or worse, North Carolina following Floyd (30+ days)?Bush flying over the flooded areas is not what made his response inept. Physical presence isn't the key issue here.
I was being sincere. But you know what you really need right now? You need some Taylor.man this is sick, these people are hurting and there are haters on here that take pleasure in their loss and pain,GOD help these haters.

It has been well reported that the president is in daily contact and is quite on top of the crises. What's he supposed to do, wade around in the water and say "gee, I'm sorry this happened"?
