The part that the FBI cannot release it, yes, it's federal law and I've run up against that before when trying to get a client paid for work done for the Feds, and they we couldn't get any official FBI interviews released involving anyone else other than my guy, even though my guy was in the right, and the FBI investigation proved so. We got a copy of the official FBI conclusion and recommendation to the US Attorney's Office, just as the FBI posted the Clinton conclusion and recommendation of the web after being read at a press conference. The rest of my post is my personal opinion.
So if your guy could request the FBI release his interview ....then why can't Clinton request that hers be released as well? I think people can request their own interviews and records released but because of privacy laws they can't request other people interviews released without their permission.
