Trump's spokesperson: Obama invaded Afghanistan

From a CNN interview referenced by rawstory.com:

“If you want to go way back, we can look at the troop surge. And after 2007, al Qaeda was essentially in ashes,” she explained. “It was Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton who then destroyed the entire rollout by wanting to pull out early, announcing their plans, ignoring intelligence and that’s the reason why ISIS is a global issue and not a –”

Blackwell then interrupted her, “Barack Obama in 2004, is that what you said?”

“No,” she replied. “I said afterwards. After the surge when al Qaeda was in ashes. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton — remember we weren’t even in Afghanistan by this time. Barack Obama went into Afghanistan creating another problem. It was Hillary Clinton and her incidents in Libya. They armed the rebels and funded them.”

A puzzled Blackwell then stopped Pierson again.

You’re saying Barack Obama took the country into Afghanistan post-2009. Is that what you’re saying?

Pierson paused before replying, “Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton — that was Obama’s war, yes.

Stupidity fuels the Trump campaign....

No, but there were two recent incidents I've seen of her during the last week on CNN.

One was discussing the economy and Brexit going up against Ali Velshi (with Don Lemon moderating, if I recall). Veshi is one sharp cookie, and nicely assertive. He literally destroyed her without seeming too aggressive, and he did not let her off the hook but rather nailed her by stating historical and factual background around her talking points, losing her in the process, and then doing it again anytime she fired-off a hollow talking point. After providing background and context he would ask her to clarify her position, and it was clear she had no idea what he had just stated! Because she really didn't know the meaning or context of her talking points beyond parroting the words.

She also got lost the other day going against a large CNN panel of maybe 5 or 6. She's just totally inadequate for prime time. She throws out non-sequitur generic talking points, then dies trying to defend them to those with a superior grasp of the facts (which is seemingly everyone). At times after spouting off a talking point, it's found upon questioning that she doesn't even know the meaning of what she just said. The difference between her and the rest of the panel was startling.

Also, the moderator in the OP video in this thread was way too easy on her - IMO.

I really am seriously starting to believe this Presidential run was a PR stunt that gained traction.

So Trump hired a spokesperson that is just like him. Why are you surprised by this?
