You talked about people in media "going crazy" for criticizing what they would be fired over. No kidding, what's next? Cops go crazy for criticizing breaking the law? Doctors go crazy for criticizing lack of hygiene? How is it crazy to criticize what would get people in your field into serious hot water?

I liked the speech. Not as much as the first time I heard it in 2008, but still not bad. I hear she's going to 'borrow' from the Gettysburg Address next time.

Well, it may have been borrowed, so to speak, but to me, if two women raised in that same way feel the same about their values, I see no better way to say what they say. How else would you say those words? I'm willing to give her a pass on this, and I thought she did a good job considering she is not wanting for public spotlights.

take (the work or an idea of someone else) and pass it off as one's own.

This was already proven to be the case. She structured her sentences in the same way and to convey the same ideas sentence for sentence. That's the very definition of plagiarism and does not depend on a 'word for word' comparison.

My parents taught me about values and how to work hard. I guess I can't say that without plagiarizing Michelle's speech.
