Trump's Swipe at Martinez Alarms GOP

Gee, I haven't heard Trump actually talking about cutting government either. In fact, he wants to spend more money. Government paid healthcare for everyone and exploding SS/Medicare costs are a couple of his plans now.

He's a Big. Government. Liberal. Always has been, always will be. If you want but government liberalism, well, okay. But own it. Don't pretend you support Conservatism, smaller government, and individual liberty while voting against all those things.

Why are you fixated on this one issue? One issue out of how many? Whine, cry, scream, and shout. I am voting for Trump and you are going to piss your vote away on someone who isn't going to even come close to winning. Next!

If he votes Johnson, you could be calling his candidate Perot-3 or Bullmoose-2 in NOV.

Both RCP polls out today, for FL and the General, included GJ.

Pollsters seem to be catching on .

Why are you fixated on this one issue?

Which one? Universal health care, the refusal to reform entitlements, raising taxes on the rich, raising the minimum wage, incompetence in foreign policy, supporting the butchers at Planned Parenthood, the serial lying, supporting the new transgender front of the Left's assault on sexual sanity, the casual ethnic bigotry...

I mean, there are a lot to choose from. I could go on.

I am voting for Trump

Yes. We know. You intend to vote for big government liberalism because what you value most is activist government run by someone who will accomplish goals. A strongman in charge is more important to you than liberty. that's your call, and as an American Citizen, you have the right to make it.

Just don't then also claim to be a conservative and not expect to get called out and made fun of in here for your hypocrisy :)

and you are going to piss your vote away on someone who isn't going to even come close to winning.

Ah. Well if it's just being-on-the-winning-team that matters to you, then you should probably be #WithHer, because right now she has the edge.

I am excited that you can go on and on. I also don't care. I am voting for Trump. You can feel free to vote for Johnson, or write in Mickey Mouse. Your call. There are two candidates with a chance of winning in this election.

I find it interesting that you seem to think this is somehow a refutation, or even a response.

Me: "Hey, why are you supporting big government liberalism?"

SD: "I'm not and anyone who claims I am is lying!"

Me: "Here are a bunch of ways in which Trump is exactly what you claim you don't support"

SD: "And I support him in it!"

Me: "But didn't you just say you don't support those things?"

SD: "But Trump will do them! If we don't vote for the big government liberal, the big government liberal might win!"

Me: [drinks heavily]

There are two candidates with a chance of winning this election

Sure. And, again, if your priority is simply "being on the winning side", regardless of their beliefs, then you probably need to switch to bring #WithHer, as she has the edge.

What do you support? A candidate that cannot win? Which positions of your candidate do you love? Who is it that you will cast your ballot for? I am not a fan of big government. But as I have clearly told you, I don't agree with every position of Donald J Trump but I would far rather have him than Hillary R Clinton.

How could anyone possibly agree with every position of Donald Trump? He has more positions on a given issue than the Kamasutra.

Very true. There are many issues facing this country. I don't believe that any candidate will ever have all the viewpoints that I have but I sure as hell do not want four more years like these last seven.

If we elect Trump, we'll be pining for the good old days of Obama. If we elect Clinton, we may be pining as well.

I will support a candidate who is unlikely to win - as do you, at the current juncture.

Again, if your priority is "voting for the person who wins", then you need to switch sides to be #WithHer.

You don't seem to be able to elucidate a consistent standard by which you choose to support presidential candidates. It seems you started with your conclusion (I'M VOTING TRUMP) and have attempted to reason backwards from there to come to a justification for why.

Can you name any other types of decisions that would benefit under that decision-making model?

It seems you don't agree with many of his positions at all. In fact, you raised them as reasons not to vote for his opponent, apparently unaware that he held those positions as well.

There's little difference between Trump and Hillary. She's somewhat more corrupt, and he's more insane.. You sing like this, and so you respond by incanting your intention to support him, as though it were a rebuttal or a Spell that would make his liberalism go away.

There are two candidates with a chance of winning. The others are what are called "also rans."

Or alternatively spoilers, but at some point we have an obligation to vote for the person who best represents us, even if that person is a loser. I am not going to do it this time though, because my current #1 agenda is to deliver a thumping to the elite who have for so long lied to us and they have delivered incompetence and lack of effort.

No, there are a few candidates with chances of winning. Some have better chances than others. The one currently with the best chance is Hillary. Those who value "voting for the candidate who wins" over things like "voting for what they believe and support" sound thus support her.

Great. Support Hillar R Clinton if your wish but don't consider yourself a conservative if you do it.

You are confused - we've been through this. The only one supporting Hillary in any shape or form is you: firstly because you are supporting her policies, and secondly because you are supporting a decision making methods designed to get people to vote for her.

Between the two of us, I'm the one who refuses to vote for either Hillary or Hillary-with-an-R-after-his-name. You've argued you intend to vote for the latter, but indicated a value system that would prioritize the former.

Yes, and cpwill is right: The one is more corrupt, the other more insane. Otherwise, there is little difference.

So, make your choice: corrupt, or insane.
