Penile Transplant

True...but either way its another mans flesh....either inside you or attached to you. I think given the alternative...most straight men would prefer to have another man's penis as opposed to having no penis.

Well, someone who has a heart, liver, kidney, etc transplant uses the organ whether consciously or not.

But by your logic, how do you feel about transplanted hands or faces?

Hey if I died and I could help some other guy get some enjoyment out of the thing like I did they I'm all for them taking it. I'm not saying I'm particularly special or anything.

and the next question would be how long before this is elective surgery for some guy who feels like he wants something bigger and better.

I wouldn't "want another guys dick" but if mine had been blown off by IED or cut off because of a disease like cancer, I'm positive I'd consider that a better option than a plastic tube attached to a bag, or however the person is forced to urinate, or be 24 and have no hope of ever having sex again. Not even a tough call for me, although admittedly it might be weird for a few weeks. Given the alternative, weird would be a VAST improvement over mutilated and with core living functions impossible to achieve.

Agree, and the other question is how society will pay for it. I was surprised by the number of people involved in this operation - had to cost well into 6 figures. If someone wants to pay for it out of pocket, whatever - his money and risk of rejection. The story did say only ONE person was on a transplant list, so apparently the number of good candidates is very small.

I'm not all that into the idea of transplanted organs in the first place.

So you're saying they wouldn't mind handling, peeing with, masturbating with, and having sex with another man's penis? I somehow doubt it. A heart or something is doing its thing and you don't have to think about it, but a penis is another thing all together.

I guarantee that if a poll were taken where the options were either 1. No penis or 2. Penis implant....the results would be about 999-1 in favor of the implant.

What a completely homophobic thing to say. Being gay has nothing to do with the fact that if you lost your penis somehow, being able to "get" another would benefit you as well as the person you are in a relationship with, if you are.

Not me...if it is between having a dead guy's dick or no dick...I will take having a dick in a heart beat. And I doubt most men would disagree with me.

This is assuming it functions properly and I would be able to get an erection and have sex.
