A new CNN national poll shows that Donald Trump is pulling away in the national Republican presidential nomination with a stunning 49 percent support.

That’s 33 points above Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) who is in second place with 16 percent. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is in a close third with 15 percent.

I wish the anti-Trumpeteers understood that we do know what we're voting for and that they have the facts wrong when they believe Hillary will win against Trump.

At least take a breath and consider that there is no way you can predict this general election at this point. Hell, Hillary may be in orange before the season is through.:mrgreen:

I've explained that in multiple threads thus far and it doesn't fit in a soundbite. Not just one reason.

Every time someone comes up with the drak, "you folks are stupid and you don't know what you're voting for" Trump gains another 10,000 voters.

They are voting for someone who keeps his mouth open and brain shut. Ok. That is cynical. Once nice thing about trump? No ulterior motive. It is all out in the open and he won't fool anyone.

OK, so let's list what Trumpeteers are voting for:

1. Mexico to build a wall on their northern border, despite the "(bleep!)ing wall comment coming from their past president.

2. No more Muslims allowed in the USA.

3. We're going to round up all of the illegals and deport them at a cost of maybe 10 grand each. Ten million illegals at ten thousand each will be a drop in the bucket after we make America great again (somehow).

4. No more mollycoddling of handicapped people. They need to be fair game for ridicule.

5. Winners only! No veterans who got captured or killed are heroes. Only the ones who came back intact are heroes.

6. We don't need to send the president to the UK. Those Euro socialists don't deserve a visit from the new POTUS anyway.

Plus, they're voting for a pro life, pro choice, conservative who wants to increase the size of the government. He's got something for everyone.

It should be obvious. They want a change. They agree with his positions, believe he can produce results, love that he is not part of the same old political system, they are tired of political correctness, but especially he gives them hope.

Two key words in the above. HOPE and CHANGE! Of course you remember.. This year, a new slogan, but like 7 years ago, mostly an emotional response. I'm not sure if they were looking ahead to this election, but remember Romney and McCain. Like the Dems remember Bush and Bush.

By the way, they are not just poorly educated racists. I know at least one doctor, one lawyer, 2 well educated Christians, and several small business owners that are not avid supporters, but are voting for Trump.

Are you familiar with the NYS slogan, a DOLLAR and a DREAM? As unlikely as it is winning the lottery, they still believe.

If you don't want Hillary, you might as well hold your nose and jump on the bandwagon.

Thing is they don't know what they've voting for EXCEPT...

a) anti-Clinton/anti-Democrat

b) so-called "tough" on ISIS/anti-Muslim (I'll add the "extremist" just to be nice).

c) anti-establishment except he IS establishment (after all, he is a businessman who has contributed to both parties, multiple politicians and lobbied Washington. He's admitted to all this things during several debates right from the start.)

d) anti-immigration except you need immigration for low-cost labor and in some cases an infusion of new ideas. It's one of the reason America has remained "great!".

Fact is, if these co-call "Trumpeteers" weren't against anything, they wouldn't be for a damned thing! And that's the absurdity of it all...you don't know what you're mad about. All you know is you're mad and Donald Trump feeds that blind fury!

You forgot a good one, no more reporting his lies for what they are, if you do without his permission you will shutdown and punished. He is beginning to remind me of someone, hmmmmm...........I am sure it will come to me sooner or later. Was there some forced labor mentioned, beginning to feel like I am just about to remember that name from the past. Maybe tomorrow.

He's going to keep those dirty Arabs and Mexicans out of the country. That's a lot of his appeal. That, and he's one of two candidates who haven't been purchased by corporate America. They do have a point there, if only the rest of the package were a bit more.... what? Sane? Presidential?

This is the one I don't understand. Trump has been calling congress stupid morons since he got into the race. How the **** does anybody believe congress will work with him?
