Trump Asked to Donate Money to Homeless Veterans; Sends Bumper Stickers.

Homeless veterans shelter Veterans-in-Command reportedly received a very different sort of gift from the Trump camp than was expected when they initially reached out to the mogul for a donation for their cause. Instead of money – which Trump has plenty of – the group received a bumper sticker: “Trump – Make America Great Again,” according to the New York Daily News.
The Daily Beast reports:
According to Veterans-in-Command President Larry Robertson, the group sent off a request to native son Trump over a year ago asking for a donation for the cash-strapped organization that deals with assisting homeless vets.
But they received nothing from the billionaire businessman until last week when the bumper sticker came in the mail with a handwritten note reading, “Unfortunately we are unable to make donations from the campaign.”
The note continued, “Mr. Trump is very passionate about giving veterans the best life possible!” and was signed “Team Trump.”
According to Robertson, since that time they have received requests from the Trump campaign to support the candidate which the veteran finds puzzling.
“We never wrote to his campaign,” Robertson explained. “Now they want us to get out there and campaign and be on his team? Without the veterans, he wouldn’t be where he is today.”
Trump says he plans to donate more money raised during his campaign to 22 veterans groups, yet Veterans-in-Command isn’t among them. Trump has donated just $5 Million in total since 2010 to various causes, but the veterans groups he claims to support have received a measly $75,000 of that thus far, reports NBC.

What a generous man.

Keeping it classy Donald..

Take your own advice.

Btw, why don't you fill us in on how much your chosen candidate has donated to veteran's groups (no, not political advocacy groups). Btw, six million donated to a number of veteran's groups just last Thursday.

I believed trump pledged (not gave) $1m. His charitable foundation game only $57k over the last 5 years les than even wounded warriors.

That is only what his foundation donated. He has routinely chipped in with private donations on his show the Apprentice.

To be fair to Trump, once you spend money it is gone. Bumper stickers last forever.

But a CNN analysis of the Donald J. Trump Foundation's charitable contributions between 2010 and 2014 -- the five most recent years publicly available -- reveals that the foundation funneled only a small slice of its charitable donations to veterans' groups.

Of the Foundation's $5 million in charitable contributions, it donated just $77,000 to nine veterans' organizations, or 1.5% of its total contributions.

There is another link out there, I'll see if I can dig it up, in that same span he gave $350k to the Clinton Foundation. Trump see Veteran groups as being something he can leverage for votes, so he makes a big deal about supporting Veterans, reality check is when it didn't benefit him in any real way, he didn't give ****. He's a chump.

Honestly. You should be ashamed. But that's okay, the results tonight proved the people of Iowa aren't as stupid as many here.

I don't know, Hillary sure did get a lot of votes....

There's nothing honest about that, because honestly it's you who should be ashamed for pushing this tripe. And the results in Iowa have Trump in second and by only 3 percentage points. That's a state no one in the political world thought he was going to win. Now, if he doesn't win NH that's a whole different story.
