Hillary Clinton Would Consider Appointing President Obama to Supreme Court

There actually aren't any qualifications to sit on the Supreme Court.

In principal a mentally retarded thirteen-year-old illegal immigrant with a criminal record and a second grade education could be nominated to sit on the SCOTUS and as long as the Senate confirms that nomination there's nothing Constitutionally wrong with that.

There might be a million and one subjective reasons why such a person would be a poor choice as a Justice, but they'd have all the qualifications needed by simple virtue of the nomination and confirmation.

And to be fair, this hypothetical retard would, in all likelihood, actually be a better choice than Barack Obama.

Soooo, you're saying Pelosi would qualify. I'm not getting warm and fuzzy feelings over this.

Wow, well that loses the election for her right there. If this makes the rounds in the public eye, she just put the final nail in her career coffin.

Well there you have it then.

Here's some interesting things to know about the Supreme Court and Justices

1) The court was around for 145 years before it got a permanent home of its own.

2) There haven’t always been nine justices on the court.

3) There are no official qualifications for becoming a Supreme Court justice.

4) Justices are appointed for life but can be impeached.

5) William Howard Taft is the only person to have served as U.S. president and on the court.

6) George Washington appointed the most justices to the court. (No surprise there).

7) In recent years, the court has received some 10,000 annual requests to review cases, but hears only about 80.

I think we need only look at the legal background, experience, and achievements of past and current SCOTUS judges for precedence. He does not measure up.

There has been a precedence for a former Prez to be appointed to the Court. President Taft bless his large soul, his one political goal was a seat on the Court, the Presidency was just a stepping stone to that end, he rather fell into the Presidency, then got a seat from FDR. So it would not be unprecedented. Mrs. Clinton is making some type of overture, perhaps this is ground softening, let the folks get used to the idea, then give him the next vacancy. Political favors as usual

She may, if she is elected President. His nomination, however, would never make it through the Senate. He has no legal or judicial record or experience.

Obama will never sit on the SCOTUS.

I am betting you said the same thing before he won the presidency.

Because Obama is 100% about what government can and should do and 0% about what it shouldn't and can't.

I am betting you said the same thing before he won the presidency.

That he had no experience? Sure I did. It was true, and we have suffered because of it.

That has nothing to do with my comment, however. I also ate spinach and lima beans for lunch, and that has just as much to do with what I said, as does what you just said. However, to address your statement, the United States Senate had nothing whatsoever to do with whether he was made President - they damned sure do have the only say as to whether he is put on the SCOTUS or not. Hence my comment.

You were just as wrong then. Let me guess, you support the Donald?

You can guess all you want, but you are wrong.

Here, list for us the experience that Obama possessed prior to January of 2008 that gave him the experience to be POTUS that you speak of?

BTW, do you realize that you are derailing your own thread?

I certainly wouldn't call Donald Trump a gigantic manbaby with the thinnest skin of the entire animal kingdom. I wouldn't say he's a mediocre businessman and a titanic douchebag. Nor would I point out that Donald Trump Totally Wants To Bang His Own Daughter. I'm just too classy a guy to say these things.

Which job on this planet prepares you for being POTUS?

Pretty funny coming from the Trump supporter and all the dumb **** that has come out of that guy's mouth.

Which job on this planet prepares you for being POTUS?

Very good question. Not one single job could do that. However, a life of experiences in ever increasing levels of management responsibility and political ability would be the only potential combination that might answer the question. It would depend on the specific resume of the specific candidate. There is no other job, other than maybe VP, that could possibly prepare you by itself to be President.

However, although it may not be simple to determine if a person is qualified, it can be done. What is very simple in most cases, is to determine who is not - they usually stand out and are pretty obvious.

Mad cuz it's true. It's ok.

No, I'll call you when I need a teenage opinion however. Don't hold your breath. I imagine that's a challenge with that silver spoon..

You'll need to call whatever you can get when dealing with orphanslug, because I know who I would go with in that debate. For now, let's just cut this conversation here before one of us gets dinked ;)

Obama is not qualified to sit on the Supreme Court. This fact alone should end the discussion.

Well, lets see now...Obama was lawyer and he taught Constitutional law at Harvard...then add his congressional experience at both the state and the federal level...not to mention his experience at the Executive level and as Commander in Chief that very few can claim....I'd say he's more than qualified. A lot more. A lot, lot, lot more.

Aside from his legal and political experience as a state senator and a us senator

The only one that matters. He had what it takes. Just ask Donald.
