In keeping with the tone of other Trump events just as the speaker began talking Trump security set the "mother****er" on fire and threw him into a wall for being a black guy.
Hitler youths for Trump.

Re: Speaker at Trump rally: ‘I believe he was sent from God’ to stop ‘this oppression

That's like claiming it's bigoted to say the Klan or the New Black Panthers are racist. Isn't that "showing intolerance for an entire group of people based on their opinions/views"?

No. That's claiming racism on the part of each entire group because each bases their actions and beliefs upon the race of those they despise. No one could argue that every member of the KKK doesn't hold the same views in relationship to blacks and no one could argue that every member of the BP doesn't hold the same views in relationship to whites. Are you seriously saying that all members of the right wing in America believe that God sent Donald Trump?

I'm actually giving you credit because you often, and rightly, like to point out that political ideologies shouldn't be blanket tarred by the ignorance and intolerance of a few. I'm surprised you don't feel that way in this case.

Re: Speaker at Trump rally: ‘I believe he was sent from God’ to stop ‘this oppression

How on earth is that "bigoted"?

Yep, asserting that (everyone one of?) those on "the right" have exactly the same (wrong?) opinion is not in any way bigoted. ;)

I didn't say I didn't feel that way. I just don't think it's necessarily "bigotry" to claim so. I think that's a misuse of the word.

Re: Speaker at Trump rally: ‘I believe he was sent from God’ to stop ‘this oppression

... I don't think the GOP is all that proud of that guy....even Eisenhower is a bit of a stretch. There are much more interesting and important Republicans to be proud of. Lincoln comes to mind... unless you know, the discussion is about civil war..... then he's an oppressors of noble rebels fighting for... the state right of rich plantation owners to own slaves.

You can't look back on history for today's brand of liberals. The DNA hadn't mutated enough times yet to fathom what liberalism has bastardized into. It wasn't within possible cognitive thought that an imprisoned felon could get a sex change on the taxpayer's dime.

Re: Speaker at Trump rally: ‘I believe he was sent from God’ to stop ‘this oppression

Is there something in the water in America?

John, are you starting to understand why many "conservatives," (such as myself) have turned in our "conservative card?"

Everyone knows I am an old school, pro-life, pro-gun, anti-government cheese, self-responsibility-preaching, kinda guy. Back in my day, we called people like me conservatives. But because I acknowledge certain facts that rubs against the grain of some of my "conservative" colleagues (and have the ability to think things through exercising critical thought, refusing to deny truth for party-sake) they have kicked me out of the club. Since I refuse to believe that gay rights are the reason for hurricanes, they have taken away my conservative card.

Palin. Bachmann. Perry. Trump. Hannity. Limbaugh. O'Reilly. Tea Party kooks. These guys represent conservatives these days here in America. How embarrassing is that?

Like I said a long time ago. I didn't leave the party. The party left me.

You're right. Don't drink the water!

No, the speaker doesn't understand what oppression means. Since we seem to welcome illegal aliens, then they aren't oppressing us. They are simply costing us money. It is amazing what politicians will do to get votes and these are very expensive votes.

Why would God care about border policy in the United States?

Fair enough - I believe it does - and it's an interesting play on words, in my view, to consider it bigotry when someone claims a group spews a crap load of bigotry.

My signature line outlines the kind of conservative I am and for better or worse, the Republican Party, on the whole, is a hell of a lot more my kind of conservative than the Democrat Party is.

I'd only note that if the loud voices on the fringe of the Republican Party are taking it away from the majority of more sane conservatives, it's time for those sane conservatives to discover their loud voices and take it back. As is often said about bullies, they will continue to bully until someone stands up to them and then they run.

I still have faith in the Republican primary voters to get it right in the end and all this nonsense will be forgotten come next August through November.

Re: Speaker at Trump rally: ‘I believe he was sent from God’ to stop ‘this oppression

Save your troll posts for someone who's interested. That isn't me.

If you want this man to feel differently, then go ahead and find him, and tell him he's wrong. While you're at it, find the people whose children were killed at Sandy Hook and tell them they're wrong to shut up about guns. Find the family of Michael Brown and tell them to shut up about cops killing black men. Find the people who've connected with MADD and tell them to shut up about drunk drivers. Find the people whose children died as a result of heroin overdoses and tell them to stop yammering about heroin. I mean, things would have been better if they all died accidentally, right Glen?

'scuse you, but you were the one painting the whole with the actions of the one...and what I did was (crudely) point out the magnitude of your error.

This was my post.

The GOP hopeful then introduced Jamiel Shaw, whose son was killed by an undocumented immigrant in 2008.

Poor man.:(

By saying "Poor man", and copying something from the OP that simply said his son was killed by an undocumented immigrant, which the link in the OP said, I was "painting the whole with the actions of the one".

That's stupid even for you, glen.

Most conservatives don't claim Trump as one of their own. O'Reilly is hardly a conservative, and I believe he is pro-SSM, as am I. None of those people you name represent me.

Not all conservatives are tea party kooks. In fact, there is a big difference between a fiscal conservative and a religious right winger, who are the people who think that "gay rights are the reason for hurricanes".

I have spoken directly to some of those people whose names you mention. They knew I have no interest in clamping down on the rights of gay people. They didn't try to take a card from me.

I understand. Surely, there are a few level headed conservatives left in the world and I do count you as one of them. You and I are very much in tune on many issues.

But too many conservatives have just sat back and let their brand get tarnished by these whacko's who have hijacked and now claim the title of conservative. Usually, here at Debate Politics, the whacko types are often identified in their "lean" profile as, "Very Conservative."

Old school conservatives, such as you and I, need to stand up a shout, "Hey! Don't let that whacko on our conservative bus! He/she is nothing like us and certainly does not speak for us!"

I have been doing that here for years. When Obama does something that pisses me off, I let it be known. When Obama does something right, I let that be known too. I have even been called a liberal for doing it.

I can always tell a whacko by their hatred for the president. Poor Obama could cure cancer and those assholes would complain because he put all the Oncologist's out of a job. You know the type?

Re: Speaker at Trump rally: ‘I believe he was sent from God’ to stop ‘this oppression

Interestingly enough, that's a fairly bigoted statement itself.

Bias isn't bigotry.

Re: Speaker at Trump rally: ‘I believe he was sent from God’ to stop ‘this oppression

Because it appears to show intolerance for an entire group of people based on their opinions/views. The very definition of bigotry. If he wants to criticize the person, including Trump for inviting him to speak, and call both of them bigoted, that's perfectly fine. The implication, however, is that the right wing is bigoted.

There was no such implication.

Re: Speaker at Trump rally: ‘I believe he was sent from God’ to stop ‘this oppression

How on earth is that "bigoted"?

Bias from a liberal is bigotry against conservatives.

Well said. I was once a member of the Republican Party. Now it only very slightly resembles what it once was. The party left me very early in W's first term. We parted ways for good. The experience caused me to do a lot of soul searching. Now I am non-partisan, an Independent. Neither ruling party is good for America.

Lincoln was a RINO.

I find the "oppression from illegal immigrants" kind of....interesting.

But of course, they're Republicans - they love the idea that they're oppressed.

Me? No-one's persecuting me. The 'we' you're talking about are the losers and this post is you trying to fumble words into some kind of contrived positive spin to comfort yourself.

Just Sad to watch when people become worshipers of false idols.

Maybe you should try contriving words into something intelligible.
