Ted Cruz: 'Majority of Violent Criminals Are Democrats'

Is this whats bothering you? If its a fact, and the truth has no agenda, why be upset about it?

We know that "truth" is not a value of the left. And if one must be dishonest about such an obvious question as to not soil the image of the party, it's par for the course.

Yes, they are still felons, good work, but we don't know their political affiliations. Therefore they cannot be counted by their political affiliations. People who are not registered cannot be given political affiliation and to do so would corrupt the survey. Is this concept really that difficult to understand?

Jesus Christ.

They still count toward the overall pool of felons.

Kobie he's right-you just dont like his conclusion.

Im fine with his conclusion because its correct.

No, he's wrong, and so are you. Because neither of you understand how facts work.

I'm going to explain this one more time:

Stating "the majority of felons are Democrats" is false when, as the study shows, 60+ percent of felons released from prison who have their voting rights re-established don't register to vote at all. They still count among the pool of felons. Attempting to take the majority of felons who do register to vote doing so as Democrats and attempting to extrapolate that among all felons is dishonest. Attempting to handwave away those felons who don't register is dishonest. Pretty much every argument Grant and US Conservative have made in this thread is dishonest.

That's not even addressing the fact that even if the felons do register, very, very few of them (8% in the NY study, for example) actually vote.

Their argument likely rests on the claim that the available data suggests the population data.

That relationship only applies if the sample set is random. This sample set is not random. Therefore, it would be erroneous to conclude that the study suggests most felons are democrats. This has been explained by the authors of the study itself. It's been explained by you, me, and others.

I have yet to see any actual response that addresses these points. I suspect this is because none exists.

Kobie, nothing here has been dishonest. I dont know why you think this looks so bad for the democrat party or is it the felons that vote for it?
